There is a movie about the last Tsar and the fall of the Russian Empire called "Nicholas and Alexandra", which did a magnificent job showing the last years of the Romanov dynasty and how they went from living in enormous luxury and respect to living in misery and being mistreated by those who once were their commoners. The final scene where the family is executed is really terrifying and leaves you completely shattered.

I saw the movie several times and enjoyed it. One thing I will always be grateful for, until someone decides to go far enough, that no one has displayed the full act of brutality toward the Romanovs. The shooting was just the beginning of their fate

@@thesella Yeah. Watching Aleksei kissing his father one last time once he realizes they're going to die is more than enough for anyone

@@TetsuShima if you have Netflix then check out The Last Tsar. That documentary really puts on Nicholas and Alexandra's incompetence. It also makes you understand how much the nobles and commons alike couldn't stand Alexandra

I've and watched so many books and movies on this family and it still hurts to know how this family met their end. You can blame who you want for their fate but I'll always believe that the children should have been spared

That is communism it has no mercy and human life is valueless to it . A person is expendable according to the needs of the state .

I find learning about events in our human history is always such a bitter-sweet experience. I really enjoy learning or rediscovering such stories, yet there is always that bitter aftertaste of knowing there was real human tragedy.
But then maybe a positive aspect in retelling such stories is the Romanovs suffering will never be forgotten. Just maybe, it educates humanity on such mistakes we should never repeat.
Another enjoyable, thought-provoking and heart-aching video. Thank you. 💛🙏💚

What a sad and tragic story… It is totally unfair that Anastasia and her siblings had to go through till their brutal murdered due to the weakness and blunders of their parents…

From when I first heard of Anastasia I never once thought she could have survived I mean shot with rifles at close range then getting run through by bayonets how can anyone survive a massacre like that let a lone a teenager in the summer and when they are in the height of the Russian revolution yeah I don't see even if she survived the execution there are so many other ways she could have die and each one is worse then the other but may her and her family rest in peace

Anna always interested me because she knew things that only the Royal Family/Anastasia would have known.
Hence why she was not so easily dismissed like the other fakes.

This WAS RESOLED some-time ago when the actual/"OFFICIALLY the" grave of the Romanovs was discovered, and though one of the daughters (Maria NOT Anastasia) were NOT buried with the Tsar Nicolas,,.. it was found that 2 of the children were buried separately (the separate grave was discovered in 2007) because there was no more space in the 1st grave site to bury everyone together. The OFFICIAL canonization ceremony was for the last 2 bodies (Maria and Alexei) found separately and the entire family eventually buried ALL TOGETHER.

I don't think they were able to tell definitely who it was that was with Alexi. Only that is was one of his sisters. With no way of telling Maria and Anastasia apart by just their bones.
