I’ve got 2 10’s in my Subaru that go down to 29hz. Was super surprised since I’ve always ran 12’s and 15’s and I’ve had some of both struggle to go below 31hz. My pc headset goes down to 20hz which still blows my mind.

You will be happy with the 10s. I used to run back in 06 two Alpine Type R 12s on a 2k watt Cadence amp and they knocked stupid hard. Now I run one Type R 10 on a 2400 watt Rockville Pheonom amp and I'm waiting on my Rockville 12" Destroyer sub to come in the mail. 8k watts!!! 2k watts rms!

I'm running a Rockville Pheonom amp. 2400 Watts peak and 1200 rms. 8 gauge power wire with glass fuse. Stock head unit in a 2013 Optima turbo with a glass panoramic roof. I really feel like my system should be louder. I have a 2.4g capacitor that I need to charge to install. I know that I need bigger power wire. I have 10 gauge speaker wire. The sub is bridged and a 2.75" dual voice coil. Any tips can help me. I don't know much about this stuff at all.
You need a bigger power wire, subs can take more power..Just have to tune it properly. So id swap amps to a 2k and tune it with a oscope or id do it by ear. But i have been doing audio for over 24 years that was. The head unit is a limiting factor. I'd add a small headway cell battery to what you have instead of the cap. The stock alternator will charge it no problem.

The pioneer 9601 @ 1ohm makes 1200wrms cert 1300wrms uncert and 1762wrms dynamic, check out big Ds Dyno of it, I have 9701 which is same just appearance change.
Man if he got a decent 1.5k and really pushed those lil subs he would gain quite a bit them pioneer amps have almost zero adjusting for tuning them so a good amp that he could dial in would be a huge gain....
And fry the voice coils . Spend more money to melt subs? The amp has variable lp filter and variable subsonic filter and gain of course.whoever told u that is ignorant.
@@scottklatt3689 im not sure which amp you had but the re audio 1200.2 that i used to have only put out 220 watts per channel in a 2 ohm load . It had 2x30 amp fuses. Even the class d 1200.2 only put out 300 wats per channel or 600 bridged, so either way u look at it, thats along way from 1500 watts rms. I have also had these exact speakers in this video, and there is no way 2 of them could handle 1500 watts for very long. Not even in a sealed box. Now if u could afford to change them out every time you gave a demo, they may last that long ,but they would not sound very good . Maybe if the song was fart noises it would sound ok lol.
I like it I have 2 8's in my 2012 f150 with 300w RMS 6.5" audiobank door speaker (4) 3 way with the stock tweeters as well so 6 tweeters and 4 high/mids but I'm about to upgrade my amp for the subs and run another amp to my highs and mids but it's nothing like this lil dodge Dakota nice little build I might upgrade to 4 sundown8's or 4 10's 🤙✌️
