    random slices with filter sounds great. if you random slice amen break it could give crazy results

      Random LFO and random Arp are the two coolest features of the OT. Thanks for watching!

    I’ve seen a few videos of the Octatrack paired with the Hologram Microcosm pedal and I wonder how much of the glitching can actually be done just by clever use of the Octatrack..

      I feel it's a glitch powerhouse; no external FX needed. If you'd like to see more advanced tutorials on what it can do, check out Max Marco on RUclips: the guy is a wizard!

      +HalutioN i asked once that part change tutorial. How to change patters so that samples changes for example tracks 1 and 2 so you can arrange song for live performance

      Yeah, I remember: it could be difficult to do a full video on that topic alone, but I'm thinking about an Octatrack Quirks video where I can put that. Essentially, my workflow is to start Pattern 1 on Part 1 and then when I want to have Part 2 on Pattern 2, I copy Pattern 1 onto Pattern 2 slot and then copy Part 1 onto Part 2 and then assign Part 2 to Pattern 2 by selecting it on this Pattern and then I go ahead and make changes, change samples etc. That way I can ensure that the settings are compatible between Parts and that I don't lose my Part 1 sample.

    i wonder if you can use all these effects on a live vocal getting thru from octatrack...i suppose yes!

      Sure! Would need to have a decent preamp. But I can do a little test in the near future if you'd like.

    I don't like the sound of Rode NT1 mic ! The high frequency ssss and ttttt are cutted, dull and muddy !

    • @LateNightBeatsOfficial
      @LateNightBeatsOfficial  8 лет назад +1

      There are surely better mics out there. I personally like the NT1 better than the NT1-A. With the limited amount of vocal tracking that I do, I can't justify buying a more expensive mic. Thanks for watching!
