Inspired by watching boring Transformers action figure reviews, the ShartimusPrime youtube channel was launched in 2008. Engaging the audience with an edgy sense of humor while maintaining appropriate language for all ages, action figure collecting has never been this fun, and videos are posted daily! Unexpectedly, the channel became more popular for Marvel Legends reviews and Spider-Man, Avengers, and X-Men collection display videos. After a few years, the channel has branched out to review other figure properties aside from Marvel Legends and G1 Transformers Masterpiece. Hot Toys, Star Wars, Diamond Select Toys, DC Collectibles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dragon Ball Z, Attack on Titan, Godzilla, Evil Dead, and The Walking Dead toy lines have all been added to the roster of nearly 2,000 video reviews. Japanese import figures from SH Figuarts, Bandai, Figma, Square Enix, and Medicom MAFEX have been favorites as well. More recently, Kotobukiya Statues (including the very sexy Bishoujo line) and NECA Toys have become more prevalent on the channel. Being a big fan of movies such as Spider-Man, Batman, X-Men, Iron Man, Captain America, The Avengers, Evil Dead, Pacific Rim, Aliens, and other films has lead the channel in the direction of also reviewing movies, movie trailers, blu ray releases, and tv shows. News updates for 2016 releases and beyond are also posted. Audience engagement is a big part of this channel, with giveaways and fan mail being read publicly once a week in the PO Box Pick-Up videos. Impressive “Shart-Art” is shared via social media and included in the opening theme song. The audience is also kept up to date with any changes to the channel, along with recent comic book pick-ups, unboxings, and action figure hauls. Stop-motion segments punishing the popular meme of the Big Time Let Down Spider-Man close most of the comparison segments, and are compiled together for guaranteed access to patrons. Lastly, all figure reviews close with a slideshow featuring dynamic poses of the figure inspired by ACBA, with the added bonus of music performed and recorded by ShartimusPrime himself.
everyone says the sculpt is the same as Donnie and Ralph, when it isn't, compare the shell edges and Leo's arms. It's a entirely new sculpt.
Dude, you're right! I checked again, and Leo does have different arms for sure. I figured the shell was different already, but yeah, those are different arms. Thanks for the heads up!

@@sigerlion8608 3 things have to happen in order for me to be interested in it, 1. the turtles are not hulk turtles, 2. April is not just some fucking eye candy and 3. Shredder has to be a badass and not some damn transformer.
@@adamCarter20 And the story has so little to do with them being ninjas. The fighting was not ninja like either. Could have just replaced them with Transformers and I would be watching the same movie.
Excellent review on an excellent figure! I remember this movie well. I took a date to see it and she was furious. She broke up with me in the lobby when the film ended. She was under the very wrong idea that we were going to see Pretty Woman. My last words to her were, "Fine! You just don't know how to have fun! And hookers are not really nice people!" And she replied as she was walking away, "Yeah, and turtles can talk." Geeks just weren't cute back then.
Tom Bowling LMAO!!!!! I love this story. That reminds me of when I saw the Little Mermaid in the theater when I was kid. There was a couple in line right in front of us and I could hear the guy telling his date, "Mmmm, that Aerial is fine. She looks hella fine!" And I thought it was funny that his date was laughing at him but slapping his arm, "There's kids." THAT chick should have been your date.

Hey man...I know you mentioned about the scabbards on his back and the opening they have. Not that it matters but its been bugging the hell out of me so I figured you might care to know to. They are like that in the movie, you rarely see them but I found a glimpse of them right after the Turtles fall through April's floor during the fight with the Foot, you can see them as Leo stands up.

Leo use to be my least favorite.....but I had two different wooden made katanas as a kid. His weapons have always been the best. Turtles got me into taking martial arts back in '88 when I lived in Stockton. Besides He-Man, TMNT was the hugest influence on my childhood. What a freakin awesome time to be a Turtles fan! Too bad Thundercats can't catch a break..

I hope we get a spinning nunchuck for Mikey as an accessory. Switch out the Ooze canister
there is a spinning chuck attachment for 1 of Mikeys pointing fingers.... & we're getting a bag of porkrinds instead of a can of ooze.
neca have done an awesome job at the turtles, really put hot toys to shame in their figures lately
What really made me almost lose it when I got this figure, is when I was putting his swords in the holders on his back, the thin part at the top of one of the holders bent backwards and almost snapped off...I did glue it back with super glue, but I'm still scared to this day that something else will happen to it.

I was never big into collecting TMNT figures but i might now because they look hella sick!!!
Just picked up Leo from my local FYE. They had the whole set a month or so ago, but they were all bought out for the holidays before I was able to buy one. Been checking ever since, and they finally got 2 Leonardos in. Gotta keep checking for Raph first then Donny. Mikey is last on my list.
The canisters do open as well, a great touch they didn;t have to do

I don't normally collect figures of that scale. But I will make an exception. My local Toys R Us has it and I plan to put one on layaway. Looks beautiful in person. Leonardo is my number one favorite too. Excellent review as always, Shartimus! Also, I love the song at the end! Very catchy!

Another great review! I am and huge fan of the 90's TMNT movie but I was going to pass up on these guys because of the size and the price, although it is AMAZING what you get at this price point. The other night I saw Leo in person at my local ToysRUs and I was hooked! I instantly put him in my shopping cart and now I have to have them all! Darn you NECA! Seriously, NECA is killing it with the Turtles they are able to produce. For the good of the collector community, Playmates should just allow NECA to do 6" TMNT figures. I heard at this year's Comic Con that NECA is working on a 1/4 scale movie Foot Soldier and a 1/4 scale movie Shredder! WOW! Thanks again and those pictures at the end really do a good job and showcasing how OUTSTADING these figures are!
chill the figures man, you'll need the money later, but hope you can make reviews the most you could, you can review the spider man classics tho, I would like to see those

redblackkaine 2099 I think if money was a huge issue for him he wouldn't be making reviews in the first place. This is his job, every time we see a video he put out its hours worth of his work and we pay him by watching the videos or donating to his patreon account. I've donated a few times if you're really worried about him financially you could donate.

one thing i always wondered about with the movie is,where did the turtles get the weapons from? did they just make them,did splinter bring them from japan,did they buy them somewhere?

I'm watching a lot of reviews to compare, and I see that the painting job is unique on every turtle. I have a problem with my Leonardo on the mask, I see that yours is perfectly painted, but mine has some green traces, like it was not completely painted...it's problematic for me, so do you know if I can paint it myself with blue, and what kind of paint do you recommend to do this work ??!

Thank you for making these review videos on these awesome figures! The 1990 TMNT movies were part of my childhood, and actually one of the few movies that I really enjoy and rewatch!
I don't have experience with using a hair dryer on figures. Should I remove the parts and use the dryer on the joints, or should I use the dryer on the figure where the joints are? I'm not familiar with action figures, so I don't know if It's bad to remove all of the parts from the figure or not. I would think that the heat from the dryer would be bad for the paint, so I'm guessing that I should remove the parts? Also should I put the parts in cold water after using the dryer to cool them off?
Please answer my questions as soon as you can! I just got these and would like to take them all out, but I don't want to do anything with them until I know what I'm doing.

Despite this being two and a half years late, the rest of the figure looks amazing, but there are only 3 flaws that should've been corrected, Trevor Zammit and Jason Frailey (who worked on the sculpt) made the hilts, blades and scabbards for the katanas too long and made the scabbards too wide and Wardell and Geoffrey Trapp (who worked on the paint) should've used light-blue paint for the mask.
