    You're an excellent teacher. I work as a teacher myself and a large part of the training for that is about learning how to present the material in the right order to understand it by building the foundation blocks of knowledge first, and then building up from those. This video does exactly that. I had given up on Stellaris after they changed the planet management to this new system and even ASpec's explanation didn't really help. Your video has and you've earned yourself a sub!

      @@CommonSenserules1981 It's still the same. 2.6.2 did not change any of the trade mechanics. Neither did the Federations DLC.
      I have a guide for trade right here. And it shows clearly how to setup routes and manually route them at 7:35

      I'm also a teacher and I second this. I haven't played since before the new planer management system and this answered a lot of questions. You structure the material really well. Also, you make it clear why you make decisions you make (some commentators give advice but don't actually explicate why they think it's better or worse to do a certain thing a certain way).

      @@ColorsFadeGaming Your videos changed the game for me. I liked it just playing willy-nilly on easy/normal mode.
      You taught me to play like I know what the hell I'm doing and I didn't have to 'trial-and-error' through another playthrough.
      For real, I just started, I have 19 hours in this game and it feels like a completely different game.
      Now I want to tackle different empire and species types. I want total war, no war, hive minds, corporations...
      This one video made the game come alive instantly. And I now feel capable of seeing the neccessary nuance in the rest of the systems without being blinded by the variety available in the basics. I know where and what to look at in some core mechanics. And that gives serious clarity into a lot of other mechanics, and informs how a lot of systems play together.
      This video is beginner level, but still imparts deep understanding.
      EXCELLENT.

    Of note:
    When resettling pops, don't forget to consider the stratum (type) of job they're trained for.
    For example, If you resettle a specialist, and the new planet only has worker jobs....then that pop will be unemployed untill retrained.

    • @ColorsFadeGaming
      @ColorsFadeGaming  4 года назад +4

      Yes, this is important if you're moving them to a planet with open jobs.
      I'd say 90% of the time, for me at least, this is not an issue though, as I'm moving pops on a high population planet that doesn't have anymore available jobs to a colony that is just getting started. Those colonies aren't going to have available jobs of any kind; you just gotta move the pops and load the build queues.
      But good point for the other cases, yeah.

    • @sfjarhead4062
      @sfjarhead4062 4 года назад +4

      @@ColorsFadeGaming
      Yep.
      I ran into this by not paying attention to the pop I clicked on to resettle, now I had an unemployed pop on a planet that had jobs it wasn't trained for. Couldn't move it back, cuz the original planet promoted a worker to the open specialist job.
      Love this game❤️

    I realize this video was made roughly 3 years ago but wanted to drop a comment anyway. Wow, just wow. This was extremely well done. I am a new player that just picked up the game and I'm playing on the console so there are noticeable differences but I was still able to pick up so much. Thank you for speaking in a calm and proper pace so that my brain was able to process the info as you gave it out. Some of the videos I've watched recently are being narrated as if they are being charged by the second. I hope you are still making videos for the newer versions of the game. I'll look for them but will make sure and watch all of the videos for this playlist. Thanks again.

    Stellaris always scared me, because of it's complicated and overwhelming Mechanics. With your amazing tutorials I feel like i could play it as easy as an TD. And now thanks to you i'm starting to play the Game in mid 2021.
    Best tutorials of any Game, ever. Thanks for your hard work.

    Ps - Can you make a video regarding ship designing ? And how to react to each situation? When to make fleets, like to create fleets right from the beginning or from mid game. Something like that would really help.

      @@InvalidShortcut Not really. My next plan was to do a simple Let's Play Tutorial series, like I did for Galactic Civilizations 3, and just try, as best as possible, to explain every move I make while I play, and hope players can glean what they desire from it.
      I have considered doing only one other stand-alone tutorial, and that's for war/victory, but I'm only going to do that if I see a real demand for it.

      You are not alone! After a week, I am part way through my first game... Which I am now abandoning. Needless to say, with virtually zero understanding what the hell was going on! I didn't even know how to merge ships! My economy went BOOM in no time at all and I was chasing my own tail trying to manage the chaos. Anyway - after ~10 hours of fiddling and 5 hours of watching videos, I am starting to believe that I might figure this game out at some point!
      I used to play Stars! and I'm hoping this game may be a substitute for that game.

I will favorite it as a reference guide for sure. Thank you for the clean, easy and informative presentation! Cheers!! :D
