    Love this advice, I've been trying to start a SMALL catering business (well sort of) with a spin but had not idea how to start. Got a lot of valuable pointers from this!!

    I love my Large Wagon for transporting. Its deep, spacious and easy to pull with pockets for your personals and a built in cooler for the cold items

    I was at this event and was impressed with Opa’s. The food was delicious and served piping hot! The attention to detail also caught my eye. The plastic ware was perfect for this event. The servers were aware of people’s needs or wants and were at your elbow before you even knew you had a want! They sliced and served the cake and made sure everyone had full glasses of beverages. They were also aware of wedding protocols and fit into the flow of the proceedings seamlessly. I can’t say enough good things about Opa’s and the special experience they created for our grandson’s wedding!

    How do you keep the food piping hot during transportation & set up?

    • @justincren8259
      @justincren8259 2 года назад +1

      Usually for our catering we would arrive really early before the event and have the food cooked around 30 minutes before the event and keep it cooking. We then use ethanol cans on the bottom of a metal food tray to try to keep the food warm

      @@justincren8259 thank you! So you make the food onsite right before the dinner service starts? What if the venue doesn’t have oven/stove? That was my issue. The venue didn’t have a kitchen and I wanted the food to be piping hot without drying the food out in chafing dishes. The transportation was the hardest because I use the thermo bags but I don’t like stacking pans on one another in the pans

      Great question, its tough w no Kitchen. Ive learned to cook my food like Salmon and Chicken Al dente and veggies so when theyre in the Chaffer dishes they stay moist and the heat allows them to be done and yummy

    You should have a masterclass on not wearing your apron outside the kitchen or cooking or food area. Like maybe lesson 1 could be don't lay on the ground with the same apron you use in the kitchen..

    Where do we get the buckets you use for tea?

    • @KostasLazanas
      @KostasLazanas  8 месяцев назад

      I’d go to the home depot or Lowe’s. They should have some 5 gallon buckets with lids. Our Feta comes in these 5 gallon buckets so that’s what we use.
