- The Woke Show is a weekly comedy cum satire show on AKTK and today we are discussing Hardik Pandya’s divorce. Recently Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya got divorce from his wife Natasha and it is expected that she will be asking for a hefty alimony from Hardik. In the past a lot of such cases have been seen by us. It happened to Shikhar Dhawan, Muhammad Shami, brother of Yuvaraj Singh and a lot of other common Indians. Is it high time that India needs gender neutral Laws?

Recently a woman who was earning more than 1 lakh per month was awarded 2 Crore Alimony. Even educated and earning women ask for alimony. Recently in Kolkata a woman took 27 lakhs alimony and was asking for another 50 lakhs while her husband had undergone many surgeries. If women misusing laws wasn't an issue than courts wouldn't have made statements where they said that women are misusing laws.

As a woman i want strict laws for crimes against men even more, bcz due to current laws, not just men suffer but the real women victims too do suffer bcz no one believes them. So "apparent" fayda as many claim ki violence against women statistically zyada hai isliye aise laws hai to encourage more women to come out. But i think opposite is happening. @Kathakathan11 I'm not against alimony at all. And i completely agree with you regarding what happens in max cases. But in the absence of laws which can protect men from being abused (we got to accept that this too occurs and men too suffer), the victims which are women suffers the most. I'm not saying make laws which allow only women to be punished. No. Case to case basis pe, see how much both spent before marriage, during marriage and what is the condition of both after marriage. This current rule of alimony somewhere becomes a tool for boys to justify dowry! I mean how ridiculous is that. Such celeb being tortured for alimony are like in 10s or may be 100 even, but the physical, mental, sexual and emotional torture experienced by women due to dowry is beyond calculations. And hence i feel alimony laws should be made fair. This will not just help men, but more imp will help women. Again, just my personal opinion.
@@Govindsakhi26 well I got your point, I would agree that misusing any law should have implications. And if a man gets jailed due to false accusation, in that case he should have right to ask the fraud person to be jailed.
But in legal system, absence of proof is not enough to prove that this was malicious targeted accusation.
If a woman is found to be doing this with multiple people-or has a pattern , then the malicious intent can be proven……..
Eg. if I say a teacher is being impartial and she has deliberately given me less marks because of my caste, I cannot prove it if I just present my markasheet.
Teacher can say that she genuinely didn’t like my essay, or had problem with the examples I shared.
But if I prove that all teh students from certain caste have more makes for substandard essay, while only my caste people get lesser marks, may be I can prove that she is biased.

Lots of these women become business partners in there husband's businesses that's why they are able to get more. Indian alimony law are different than the west and their is no way Natasha can get more than 25% and if she doesn't get the custody of her son, then it will be even lesser.

But it is a traumatic solution too. It’s even more miserable to trust fro the second time. And lonely life is even more crazy, I talak a I have 2 aunts in their 50s with a divorce and they are in terrible mental state. Despite us all being supportive, they have trust issues, they earn and all, but they don’t have peaceful sleep. Because they loved someone…..

Hardik didn't cheat on his wife. The incident you are talking about is before his marriage. She has even taken their son to Serbia away from Hardik. This is called parental alienation. But of course you will only find fault in the man and always see women as innocent victims.

Same thing as today, but when the empire fell and the barbarians invaded all the so called progressive women jumped on board and became their wives. Women only care about higher living standard, reputation and higher statues than their peers, anyone who can given them that they belong to them. The society/Government today is giving them Status, more rights, biased laws designed to benefit them and also wages/ability to earn money so, they have deemed men useless. There is nothing wrong in that but it's the truth. Women throughout history used to get all the above things indirectly by marrying powerful men or by inheriting them from powerful men but now when they don't need men to become successful, their real nature comes out. Feminism has shown us guys the real face of a woman and we are deeply grateful for that.

@@Kathakathan11 well my comment did not talk about alimony or what a women does in a marriage at all. But, if it concerns you so much then do the following:
1. don’t do a fancy marriage if you can’t spend on your own marriage.
2. don’t marry a guy who isn’t sharing marriage expenses 50-50
3. don’t leave your parents house after marriage (find a guy who will move in with you). Don’t marry if you cannot find guy willing to move in with you.
4. don’t have a kid if you cannot manage hormonal changes in your body.
5. stop playing victim card of all kinds. If you don’t want or cannot do anything own it and say it loudly.
The video and my comment highlights the hypocrisy of the system. The video is trying to build awareness about misuse of laws which came in place to protect women.
The entire system & feminists are all gung-ho about Women Empowerment but, the moment it comes to matrimonial cases the women becomes burden on society. Now don’t blame us for that. Read up the judgements of any matrimonial dispute.
It’s not the husbands who asks for alimony. It’s always the knife. What does that say about the knife?
- is she equal? NO.
- is she after money? YES
- is she a burden on society? YES
And we haven’t yet started talking about fake cases on husbands and his entire family. If you care to read the Supreme Court of India and various High Courts have talked about the misuse of section 498A across the country and termed it as “Legal Terrorism”. Again it’s not the husband saying it, it’s the Judiciary. Same is the situation with DV and Maintenance cases.
Do some research to understand ground reality before commenting these lame excuses.

This video is about Gender Biased Laws of this country. The examples given in the video of few men who had the resource to engage the best of the advocates to battle against their knives in the court. Do you think all men in India can afford such advocates?
Again come out of your La La Land and see the ground reality. Just go to a family court for 1 day with open mind and you will understand everything. Women who file fake cases on their husbands and his family are not just harassing them, they are actually undermining genuine victims (women). Such fake cases increase pressure on judiciary by wasting their precious time and resources. The same time and resource which a genuine victim needs. And all this for money (maintenance/alimony).

@@Kathakathan11 Don't you follow current affairs. I haven't seen a single such case. Yes provision is there but courts never make women give maintenance. There have been cases where men who couldn't pay maintenance have been imprisoned and died there. Even courts have said that many women file divorce cases to extort their husbands.

Also people will obviously point to a woman if she takes 70% of the net worth in alimony. Even if something happened then it doesn't entitle her to more than half of the net worth. Yes alimony should It given if the woman genuinely needs it. I hope that doesn't turn out to be true. Also she took their son with her to Serbia away from Hardik. It's called parental alienation.
