Also they aren't even equal in power, constellations, talent levels, artifacts. Bigger numbers like he shows aren't a good comparison. If he wanted to do a proper dps or burst comparison he could have done them with a baseline artifact set, no party member buffs, and try to make them as equal to each other as possible. Nearly impossible as it is a gacha game with randomness involved. I guess he wanted to show them with optimal builds but that shouldn't matter when you just wanna compare who does more than who at base.

I do agree tho, with all the randomness, especially on artifact subtats, it is hard to get an accurate measure of damage between them.

If you wanted true dps analysis, you’d start with nothing to levels-artifacts-constellations-team members buffs-weapon level and weapon refinement. There’s a bunch of other factors, but this some what encapsulates how much you should be doing, this should be envisage to newer players and expectations to veterans.

Well... taking only pity on a character banner you get 0.75 of the titular character per 90 wishes. For c6 that's 7/0.75*90 = 472.5 Wishes or 945 for two characters and let's say 900 wishes because it's not always pity. Given as f2p I don't know the cost per wish, but even if it would be just 1$ that's two months of rent plus some extras for me.
No matter what you say Kaeya is a very good character, first reason is probably because im unlucky and didn't get a single Cryo character but, BUT Kaeya's blurst is also pretty good 👌🏻
Wdym? Burst is under DPS. If your character does X amount of damage in a Y amount of time in seconds, you get DPS. It doesn't matter if the showcase only did one instance of burst damage coz you can do it multiple times yourself to get a DPS value.

Having this kind of account makes the game very very easy and boring. This makes the abyss f12 just as easy as doing your dailies. trust me you don't want this. I'm enjoying the game as it is, building new team and discovering the synergies. since it's a pve only game, it's meant for that. It does not even have a competitive pve raid mode yet. relax and take your time :)

Diluc is filthy rich because of his wine and has title of Darknight Hero. Diluc's blood line has long history in Mondstadt, VA of Giorno so he might have requiem power as plot armor for later Tartaglia, Childe 11th Fatui Harbinger he runs bank and definitely rich rid, he found fighting is fun and loves his family he is your bad-good boy and some ladies love it

@@himanshurao8668childe's c4 is the only contellation that increases damage, if the enemy is marked first then followed by Q but tenha didn't apply the mark so the c4 is not used in this test, thus mentioning constellation as a factor would be a stretch since the difference lies in the talents but also capped by the contellations. Diluc with WG pales in comparison in this test coz of Childe's equipped Skyward Harp (OP asf) weapon passive was dispensed better than wolf g. With the three stacks. But with 3 stacks he will reach 160k + dmg. still very far from childe. Childe with 800+ Q multiplier vs Diluc with 300+ slash plus 300+ explosive dmg is still not enough tho.
Comparison was nice but I feel like it didn't take into account the fact Diluc has multiple hits from his ult. Overall the two are doing very similar DPS per ult, one just has a bigger number while the other has a lot more numbers.
diluc's ult would have been better if the phoenix doesn't traver too far. Most of the time against unjuggleable enemies, the last explosion doesn't hit them

Jean is *very* good, you basically never have to worry about pulling a main support/healer again because she has the best party-wide sustained AND burst healing in the game with a royal amount of hard CC (giving you immense control of annoying situations). All this while being an Anemo physical damage carry that scales off ATK (meaning she will literally fit snuggly into any team comp, ever, and will always be a reliable source of damage). Don't sleep on Jean, while Diluc/Childe/etc have stupid damage (which is their niche), they don't have all that other shit that Jean has, she is basically a walking fortress. Big damage numbers aren't everything, and that may become more apparent as the game ages/gets harder. She not as flashy as the other 5 star, but *there is a reason* she is a 5 star. She is one of the highest value 5 stars you can pull based on how bloated/modular her kit is. Besides you pulled top tier waifu material people would kill to get her for that simple fact alone, just sayin 👌

@@EddyManeki I rerrolled at the beggining, was aiming for any 5*, got Jean and Diluc from begginers banners and then a gravestones from free 10 wishes at AR10, of course I instantly put Jean aside since my team was arround Diluc (Fishcl->Xianling->Barbara dragonslayer->Diluc was giving me the most DPS at the moment). When I needed her for the second team of abyss and later at 1.1 with his E interrumping big enemies as should be she became my fav, I changed her from healer to main dps on gladiator set for the second team since I got boring of Diluc even if he is my biggest hitter. Yes she doesnt does crazy dmg but she does it constantly, f12 was easier with she as main dps compared to the Diluc team thanks to his tankiness, CC (E and charged attacks) and healing (with black sword and main DPS she never dies), and being the healer and main dps at the same time lets you bring full sup dps on the team (Fischl/Xianling/XIngqiu/Kaeya/etc). I remember hating getting c1 Jean on Venti banner, but now that I really like her I want c2 Jean one day. Even if I already have others main DPS (DIluc, Childe, Ningguang) I will keep her as main DPS until I get a better blacksword user (Keqing/Kamisato Ayaka/Raiden maybe?) and change her to Viridiscent, but thats far in the future.
Diluc did 131k with a 326% scaling attack and childe 237 with a 882% attack, we should keep in mind that diluc didn't even get to hit his full burst but only the first damage tick... Now to be clear, I'm pointing that out because childe damage is still far away from what it could be once we get access to a hydro damage set.

Childe would win, but there isn't any hydro concentrated set. Diluc has a dedicated Set but childe doesn't. But if you look at their damage scaling, Childe is wayyy ahead
he won't. the only time Childe will be able to keep up with Diluc is if you Venti ults and have him whack them all doing AOE riptides(Diluc could Q burst and wipe all of those mobs). in terms of single target and burst Diluc has been calced to be above by a mile. he's only looking at the initial damage of Diluc's total burst damage in that video Childe: Melee burst = 464.....Riptide blast = 120 Diluc: Slash damage = 204.....DoT= 60...... Explosion Damage = 204 total max damage . Childe = 464+ 120 = 584 Diluc = 204+ 60+60+60+60+60+60+60+60+204 = 888 pecenteage difference of 41% while we're at it..... Chidle's energy for burst = 60 Diluc's energy for burst = 40 percentage difference of 40% 40% not only does Diluc's multiplier hits for 41% more, but its energy regeneration is also stupidly better at 40% more efficient. the guy didn't even account for the other part of the damage from Diluc.
Dps showdown numbers of dmg in a minute can be a good comparison rather than elemental burst especially diluc's ult still applies on his pyro dmg sword would love to see more comparisons without any buffs from the party.
@@Dravis1995 geo hero's can do big damage just they don't have elemental reaction damage but that can be easily fix by running a second dps and a bust support and healer or 2 bust supports and use them to make the elemental reactions.

Honestly I play as Childe and my friend plays as Diluc, and let me tell you the numbers that come up when we're both smacking the same enemy. Other players don't get a chance to attack them before it dies
Naturally, Tartaglia would deal more DMG with Vaporise since Hydro deals more DMG than Pyro in Vaporise. Conversly,Pyro deals more DMG in melt than Cryo.

If Childe had a set equivalent to Dilucs crimson witch set he would be better DPS.... But Diluc I'd the same DPS all the time and doesn't need a time limited stance so he can do 90% of the DPS of child all the time with no cool down to worry about.... They are both amazing. Its like Lamborghini and Ferrari.... If you I had to pick only one I'd take Diluc.
Childe gonna deal more damage with his burst number. His problem is his real damage comes from using his E and it has a very very long CD. Diluc is just doing better overall in almost any situation except if the monsters are immune to fire. Simply because... he's Diluc and he's so easy to use lol. If you really wanna make childe your main DPS, you need his C6 which require you to spend a lot of money.

As for hydro cups... if only, I have an army of pyro and geo damage cups... as if the game knows I'd rather have Zhongli and Diluc lol But only three star hydro cups. I think he's currently using a four star gladiator cup with atk%.
yeah i still think that diluc does more damage, cuz his ult at the first hit does 326% of atk, but then there's the explosion at the end that does the same amount of dmg, but because the regisvine was too far from the eagle when it exploded, it only dealt the damage of the first hit. so in reality dilus should've done 260k dmg plus the 96% atk dot of the ult.

Tenha I just want you to know that people have found that there is a soft pity. From your 1st pull to your tenth you have the highest chance of getting a five star. It's rate is about 2%. Then the highest is at 70 or 75 to 80. It has a rate of around 20%. Then the next is the actual pity. Just letting you know so you can save some money :)
Statistically, chance for you to hit the pity goes down as you get towards the pity. I really do not care about them since I have to pull so many times. Time is gold for me, and people love it when I suffer :) thank you for the info, but I really do not listen to things like "i heard that~" or "people found ~"
In terms of burst Childe will easily win. Diluc's ulti have 3 parts the 1st slash, damage over time and the explosion at the end so it will be hard to compare. But in summary, both are beast DPS characters.
Diluc will be the winner since he can consistently deal high and stable dps while Childe most damage will come from his Skill(Which totally sucks) and Burst. Even without cons, Diluc still powerful.

130k for Diluc's initial slash. If his 2nd dmg went in, which deals another 65k since ice element is gone, theoretically Diluc dealt 195k dmg. We can also add the DoT. Their ult damages are equal.

The set up vs cryo regivine could've been better. The 4 piece set effect from crimson witch wasn't in effect. You took 13 seconds when the buff is only 10. Could be mistaken though.
the thing about childe is that his Q is a 1 hit AoE big dmg. Diluc has a slashing dmg that also explodes and it pushes forward dealing more damage over it's duration
Add up all of Diluc's Q damage, 326% + 326% + 96% = 748%. If DOT ticks at least twice then it's gonna be a total of 844% which is almost as much as childe's 882%. Now if Diluc q was higher than lv 8 then his multiplier would be even higher

@@himanshurao8668childe's c4 is the only contellation that increases damage, if the enemy is marked first then followed by Q but tenha didn't apply the mark so the c4 is not used in this test, thus mentioning constellation as a factor would be a stretch since the difference lies in the talents but also capped by the contellations. Diluc with WG pales in comparison in this test coz of Childe's equipped Skyward Harp (OP asf) weapon passive was dispensed better than wolf g. With the three stacks. But with 3 stacks he will reach 160k + dmg. still very far from childe. Childe with 800+ Q multiplier vs Diluc with 300+ slash plus 300+ explosive dmg is still not enough tho.

Comparison was nice but I feel like it didn't take into account the fact Diluc has multiple hits from his ult. Overall the two are doing very similar DPS per ult, one just has a bigger number while the other has a lot more numbers.
diluc's ult would have been better if the phoenix doesn't traver too far. Most of the time against unjuggleable enemies, the last explosion doesn't hit them

Jean is *very* good, you basically never have to worry about pulling a main support/healer again because she has the best party-wide sustained AND burst healing in the game with a royal amount of hard CC (giving you immense control of annoying situations). All this while being an Anemo physical damage carry that scales off ATK (meaning she will literally fit snuggly into any team comp, ever, and will always be a reliable source of damage).
Don't sleep on Jean, while Diluc/Childe/etc have stupid damage (which is their niche), they don't have all that other shit that Jean has, she is basically a walking fortress. Big damage numbers aren't everything, and that may become more apparent as the game ages/gets harder. She not as flashy as the other 5 star, but *there is a reason* she is a 5 star. She is one of the highest value 5 stars you can pull based on how bloated/modular her kit is.
Besides you pulled top tier waifu material people would kill to get her for that simple fact alone, just sayin 👌

@@EddyManeki I rerrolled at the beggining, was aiming for any 5*, got Jean and Diluc from begginers banners and then a gravestones from free 10 wishes at AR10, of course I instantly put Jean aside since my team was arround Diluc (Fishcl->Xianling->Barbara dragonslayer->Diluc was giving me the most DPS at the moment). When I needed her for the second team of abyss and later at 1.1 with his E interrumping big enemies as should be she became my fav, I changed her from healer to main dps on gladiator set for the second team since I got boring of Diluc even if he is my biggest hitter. Yes she doesnt does crazy dmg but she does it constantly, f12 was easier with she as main dps compared to the Diluc team thanks to his tankiness, CC (E and charged attacks) and healing (with black sword and main DPS she never dies), and being the healer and main dps at the same time lets you bring full sup dps on the team (Fischl/Xianling/XIngqiu/Kaeya/etc).
I remember hating getting c1 Jean on Venti banner, but now that I really like her I want c2 Jean one day. Even if I already have others main DPS (DIluc, Childe, Ningguang) I will keep her as main DPS until I get a better blacksword user (Keqing/Kamisato Ayaka/Raiden maybe?) and change her to Viridiscent, but thats far in the future.

Diluc did 131k with a 326% scaling attack and childe 237 with a 882% attack, we should keep in mind that diluc didn't even get to hit his full burst but only the first damage tick...
Now to be clear, I'm pointing that out because childe damage is still far away from what it could be once we get access to a hydro damage set.

Actually childi damage is buffed about 60% because of event. His actual damage is lower than what you see.
Childe would win, but there isn't any hydro concentrated set. Diluc has a dedicated Set but childe doesn't. But if you look at their damage scaling, Childe is wayyy ahead
he won't. the only time Childe will be able to keep up with Diluc is if you Venti ults and have him whack them all doing AOE riptides(Diluc could Q burst and wipe all of those mobs). in terms of single target and burst Diluc has been calced to be above by a mile.

Naturally, Tartaglia would deal more DMG with Vaporise since Hydro deals more DMG than Pyro in Vaporise. Conversly,Pyro deals more DMG in melt than Cryo.

Now what matters is the playstyle of each char, if u want slow attacking high dmg go for diluc. If u want multiple fast dmg go for childe.

If Childe had a set equivalent to Dilucs crimson witch set he would be better DPS.... But Diluc I'd the same DPS all the time and doesn't need a time limited stance so he can do 90% of the DPS of child all the time with no cool down to worry about.... They are both amazing. Its like Lamborghini and Ferrari.... If you I had to pick only one I'd take Diluc.
With C6 or Gambler set you can constantly use his E stance

His problem is his real damage comes from using his E and it has a very very long CD.
Diluc is just doing better overall in almost any situation except if the monsters are immune to fire.

If you really wanna make childe your main DPS, you need his C6 which require you to spend a lot of money.

@AJ Well, it is undermined by the fact that i have neither a decent weapon nor decent artifacts for him and those are, unfortunately, more important than the character itself. Three Childes and not a single weapon or artifact to use on him must be some kind of weird curse...
@AJ Not sure which one you mean, I checked both smith bows and don't find either of them is particularly useful for Childe.
As for hydro cups... if only, I have an army of pyro and geo damage cups... as if the game knows I'd rather have Zhongli and Diluc lol
But only three star hydro cups. I think he's currently using a four star gladiator cup with atk%.
yeah i still think that diluc does more damage, cuz his ult at the first hit does 326% of atk, but then there's the explosion at the end that does the same amount of dmg, but because the regisvine was too far from the eagle when it exploded, it only dealt the damage of the first hit. so in reality dilus should've done 260k dmg plus the 96% atk dot of the ult.
Do remember that Diluc's ult does many hits unlike childe whose ult is just a single hit burst
Now just add the new artifacts coming in 1.2 to Childe to see his max potential.
Never forget diluc has damage over time and an explosion at the end when childe only does a slash and enable Riptide

Tenha I just want you to know that people have found that there is a soft pity. From your 1st pull to your tenth you have the highest chance of getting a five star. It's rate is about 2%. Then the highest is at 70 or 75 to 80. It has a rate of around 20%. Then the next is the actual pity. Just letting you know so you can save some money :)

Statistically, chance for you to hit the pity goes down as you get towards the pity. I really do not care about them since I have to pull so many times. Time is gold for me, and people love it when I suffer :) thank you for the info, but I really do not listen to things like "i heard that~" or "people found ~"
Chance doesn't matter if Tenha will gonna whales anyway. Either 10 or 90 pulls, he'll do it.
In terms of burst Childe will easily win. Diluc's ulti have 3 parts the 1st slash, damage over time and the explosion at the end so it will be hard to compare. But in summary, both are beast DPS characters.

Diluc will be the winner since he can consistently deal high and stable dps while Childe most damage will come from his Skill(Which totally sucks) and Burst. Even without cons, Diluc still powerful.

130k for Diluc's initial slash. If his 2nd dmg went in, which deals another 65k since ice element is gone, theoretically Diluc dealt 195k dmg. We can also add the DoT. Their ult damages are equal.

The set up vs cryo regivine could've been better. The 4 piece set effect from crimson witch wasn't in effect. You took 13 seconds when the buff is only 10. Could be mistaken though.
the thing about childe is that his Q is a 1 hit AoE big dmg. Diluc has a slashing dmg that also explodes and it pushes forward dealing more damage over it's duration

Add up all of Diluc's Q damage, 326% + 326% + 96% = 748%. If DOT ticks at least twice then it's gonna be a total of 844% which is almost as much as childe's 882%. Now if Diluc q was higher than lv 8 then his multiplier would be even higher
Childe is dealing 60% more dmg now tho, gotta re-do the video and do it properly, nothing was in favor of Diluc here
so basically childe is for farming bosses quickly and diluc is for anything else (except when the domain is full of pyro enemies)
