You missed one major feature in the ACC system .... AUTOMATIC ACC .... When you select ACC by pressing the top left square button .. if you hold that button down it will put a Green A above the speed limit and will slow and speed up the car automatically according to the road rating on Google Maps and what it reads from the road signs. It will also slow for roundabouts and tight corners - placing a symbol that it has acknowledged them from the map. At least, it does this on my new Scenic EV
@@DrSaahb I'm waiting for Renault Capture Alpine. I hope in 2 months will be ready to get it, because in Barcelona you must wait over 3 or 5 months for a new car. And you will be welcome
Hi Dr Saahb your videos are excellent. Do you have the time to answer a specific issue on cruise control on my brand new Scenic Etech? Neither the dealer nor Renault customer service have been any use. I have the problem with photos waiting to send as an email . …
Thanks for the comment. Can you send them to my Instagram account because I have not setup an email address for this account. I don’t want to share my personal email address.
@@DrSaahb Thanks very much. I have a long email with photos that I am trying to work out how to post to your Instagram account. This is beyond me, so I need help from a younger one in the family! so this may take a few days
Im confused. U used this all the time in my scenic e tech and now when i press the button next to mode on thebsteering wheel, it doesnt turn the wheel just does the adaptove speed. Trying to work out how to put it back on
Thanks for the comment. Do you have the same options as me? From 0:04 you can see I have several options, how many do you have and what options are they?
Does the car automatically adjust the speed to road speed limit when the car is in adaptive cruise control with the road speed sign limit set, or do you have to reset it manually each time you enter a new speed limit?
@@DrSaahbIf you long press the circle button (3+ seconds) the car will automatically accept the new speed limits and slows down before the new speed sign You can see that it is activated as a capital A within a a square is displayed next to the speed limit
I recently bought a Renault Clio with adaptive cruise control. For 25 years I have been driving using regular cruise control. To me, the adaptive cruise control is a complete failure. Even with the lowest distance set, it slows down to soon. If you are on a busy highway, it's even dangerous to use it as it doesn't go al9ng with the traffic, but wants to maintain its minimum distance. To me it looks as if this was designed to be used in a truck, or on a quiet two-lane road. It doesn't do the job for a normal car in medium and high traffic.

Thank you for the comment. I didn’t realise this was a feature so next time I would love to test this.
Thanks a lot Doctor, it was so useful. Greetings from a Catalonia!
Thank you for the comment. This has made my day! Also I love Catalonia and want to visit again in the future! Which Renault do you own?

Thank you! I bet you can’t wait to have your new car. I am aiming to do a video on the Captur in the near future so hopefully it helps you out.

Thanks for the comment. I had to press the button with the four lines and circle to set the new speed limit every-time.

No way! Thank you, I had no idea the car can do this. Which model do you own?
@@DrSaahb I had test drives with both the Rafale and Scenic. Cruise control works that way in both cars.
Give it a try. It really adapts very well
I will definitely try this next time I am in a model that has the adaptive cruise control. Such a useful feature.
does the speed sign work in european countries?
Thanks for the comment. It does for us in the UK. Might depend in different markets because it could be an option in your country.

Thanks for the comment. I haven’t sat and used the new Clio. Does it have the same switches and screen layout as the car in this video?
What is the rattling noise? Is it a rattle car?
Thanks for the comment. The rattle is from my camera rig. I have recently upgraded to a different one so next time this rattle doesn’t happen again 🤞
