Thanks for the comment. I don’t think the map shows on the drivers screen. I haven’t tested it but if I were to take an educated guess then it doesn’t do it. I think Porsche models are/will be the first models to do this feature.

Thanks for the comment. Have you pressed the on/off switch? The switch is the volume button and you can press the button that says “ON” to switch it on or off.

I have other videos in the Renault playlist that might be helpful like using the adaptive cruise control and speed limiter. I think in the future I will try to show what the regenerative braking does to help others.

⁠@@DrSaahbIf you long press the circle button (3+ seconds) the car will automatically accept the new speed limits and slows down before the new speed sign You can see that it is activated as a capital A within a a square is displayed next to the speed limit

@@DrSaahb I had test drives with both the Rafale and Scenic. Cruise control works that way in both cars. Give it a try. It really adapts very well

I will definitely try this next time I am in a model that has the adaptive cruise control. Such a useful feature.

That is definitely a fair argument. I do think it is probably safer to ask the car to do something rather than pressing a button. What do you think is safer?

@@DrSaahb exactly.. like you used the voice command, that is not just a gimmick, it is a matter of safety. It's function, a safety function, sp the driver keeps his eyes on the road. The automatic Cruise control works also fine sometimes when the car has to break, but of course that is not 100% safe... I liked it a lot that you kept saying people, hey! Always keep your doot almost on the break pedal, so that if you have to, you can apply breaks while the car parks itself..😇👍🏼

Yes you definitely cannot rely on these safety systems and need to be in control. Which model and specification do you have?

Thanks for the comment. You can’t remove the greyed out symbol. I sat in a brand new C-Class a couple weeks ago and it also had a greyed out cruise control symbol.

Nice specification! How did you find the Hyundai ioniq? I haven’t driven one yet but seems like a really good car.

The Hyundai show room in Swansea, when I first had mine, there didn't seem to be many of them on the road, but now I've noticed they are very popular with taxi drivers, I've loved driving it and will be sad to see it go, however after seeing the one I've ordered it makes the ioniq very basic lol

Also the bigger a car, usually the more comfortable it is especially the C-Class which is setup for more normal driving rather than sportier drive. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the comment. You need to have an option fitted to your car which I think is called the Parking Assist Package. Then you can follow the instructions in this video. Another way to check is if you have the “P” symbol on your dash like in this video.

@@DrSaahb it is 2019 GLA 180 Urban edition.

I think UK cars that are Urban Edition do not have parking sensors and therefore doesn’t have the auto park feature. I would recommend you ask your local Mercedes Dealership to double check if you have parking sensors and also the Auto Self Parking feature. Let me know how you get on please?

Both are really nice cars and drive really well. The BMW is rear wheel drive and the A-Class is front wheel drive. For me, I prefer front wheel drive for better traction when it snows. What are your thoughts?

I must admit I am leaning to the A Class as I've never had a Mercedes. I did once own a BMW 328i straight six engine which was amazing. Feel that the 1 Series feels a little dated and snug inside. Currently own a Honda CRV which is huge. Think I need to sit in an A Class and compare.

Yes these are 20” alloy wheels. When I drove this car I didn’t even realise it had such big wheels. It drove well and I couldn’t complain.

@@DrSaahb my jaguar xe and volvo. Been inside the new c class, very disappointed too with the fit and finish. Parts don't feel solid and they did feel cheap. I'm now basing this maybe the same with glc and it's the same interior. Actually caught in between a few options now and your video was helpful in understanding the features, but am also considering the genesis gv70 or g80

No worries, let me know how you get on. I am not sure exactly where the 12 volt socket is but I think it will be next to the glovebox next to driver side. You will need to pop your head there to have a good look.
