I hear ppl saying its hard to learn English for kids outside of the US. But I was born in the US and my parents just spoke Spanish. So growing up I had trouble learning English.
Tbh this open my eyes even more. I wasn’t a good person to my ex either and tbh I do regret it, but it’s on me. Karla thank you for making me realize even more what I have to do as a man but as a person to never make these mistakes ever again. Me watching this today open my heart knowing I could’ve or done better as a person. Hearing about her crossing the border made me tear up, I had no idea Karlita had her struggles learning English. I'm happy that Karlita got to share this side of her. I've always seen the fun-outgoing Karlita so getting an understanding of her upbringing made me realize that Karla definitely persevered. Going into the portion of when she spoke about her ex, was hard to hear. I can only imagine how difficult it was for Karla to be in between her bf and her family. Only she knows what she went through and why she stayed. I commend her for both trying to stay and also getting up and leaving. I pray that Karla is doing well and that she continues to go to therapy and eventually she finds love.

I can relate to it moving in with my boyfriend after a year of being together everting turned and alcohol brought the devil in him it took me 6 months to finally call my parents and pick me up and lil clothes and never looked back .

Hearing about her crossing the border made me tear up, I had no idea Karlita had her struggles learning English. I'm happy that Karlita got to share this side of her. I've always seen the fun-outgoing Karlita so getting an understanding of her upbringing made me realize that Karla definitely persevered. Going into the portion of when she spoke about her ex, was hard to hear. I can only imagine how difficult it was for Karla to be in between her bf and her family. Only she knows what she went through and why she stayed. I commend her for both trying to stay and also getting up and leaving. I pray that Karla is doing well and that she continues to go to therapy and eventually she finds love.

I believe HER 100%. I lived through her same experience, so many of us do. We stay and pray they change, but they don't. When us SURVIVORS finally leave, we are labeled as the "bad guys" lol. Nothing better than being single and FREE from abuse!

And like im the back of my head i knew this was wrong and toxic but i would justify his behavior and blame myself like maybe its cause of something i said. This is so sad on the part of her relationship because it happened to me besides the abusive part. It’s so sad how it’s like normal for us to feel that way to defend this person we think will change. I would always feel this is only me and only I can forgive a person over and over. This was so intense to me and I really feel for her. Had me in tears. I hope the best for her!

I could relate to Karlita, it's so heartbreaking when you lose the person you love to alcohol and then you try to forgive and stay because in the back of your head you think they'll change. It's crazy the fact that we keep it to ourselves mean while they act like the victim and involve others when you try not to bring anyone in because you love them. It's honestly a living hell emotional and physical abuse😢💔

As someone who’s been through this exact situation, I know she’s telling the truth. The voice shaking, her looking around paranoid almost as if he’s going to storm in and do it again made me cry. Big hugs and prayers to all the women who have gone and are going through this. May God give us the strength to recover from the trauma and move on 🙏🏽🩵
