For your reference, seaweed is originated from Korea. Seaweed originated around 1640 in Korea and Japanese people consumed seaweed far later than Koreans

Seaweed originated around 1640?? Uh..no. Seaweed has been around A LOT longer than that. LONG before people started eating it.

We think eating seaweed is great in all its forms - roasted and raw! Nori is particularly versatile as the flavour evolves depending on what you pair it with and how it comes. Nori sheets are delicious and versatile, but heating any seaweed does damage it's mineral profile. All nori sheets have had some degree of processing - ie they are not in their wholefood format. If fat content is important to you, its worth checking this on the nori sheets as some are highly processed. Many brands do a great job with this but there is quite a range on the scale of highly processed to natural nori! At the end of the day, your body and the planet will thank you for adding a little seaweed into everyday meals!

Does this taste fishy? I'm looking for ingredients that I can make vegan "tuna" from and need a sea taste.

Or you could just purchase Nori Flakes - be assured its 100% seaweed, not processed and fried/roasted like the sheets are. Seaeweds are heat sensitive so its far better to eat them as raw as possible :)

Its not like paper its exactly seaweed! And really needs to be toasted to bring out its flavor... it then will crumble in your hands
