Hey guys, if you are using a non-Samsung Android or if for some reasons these instructions aren't working on your Samsung device, then you can follow these instructions: cutt.ly/whatsapp-from-ios-to-android to transfer WhatsApp data from iPhone to your Android in a few minutes.
If u can't move to other than Samsung, well you can transfer chats to Samsung then upload to google drive then use your other phone to restore chats from google🎉
There is a fault in this video in the last step when you try to verify your number in the Android phone it has to send a code to the iPhone which cannot be received without canceling the transfer screen in the iPhone :(
Biggest advice when doing this. make sure that whatsapp is not already dled on the phone. It has to be uninstalled before processing on the android. The smart switch would dl the app once it goes through the process.

Successfully transferred chat history into my Android phone (Galaxy Z Fold 5) from an iPhone 13. This method is really working but it took me around 2 hours to transfer including configuring both phones. BTW, USB-C to Lightning cable included in the box (iPhone 13) refuse to connect to my Galaxy Fold. I have to use USB-C to USB-A and 3rd party cable USB-A to Lightning to make it work. Big THANKS to this video that I don't have to purchase scam and sus whatsapp transfer program which is OVERPRICED for single use

@@MohsinCJ smart switch works for samsung and oneplus only, if to xiaomi, you gonna make it to samsung/oneplus device first, then you backup n restore through google drive
@@saniajannatulkubra Maybe someone has a better advice, but I'd say to free-up more memory and repeat the process. Even if it might look like there is enough space, the app might use some more storage for temporary operations. If you can, move all files from the Android phone to free-up as much space as possible. After WhatsApp transfer is completed successfully, you can bring them back.
@@SkyWaffles08 I took out the sim from my iPhone and placed it in my new Samsung before the process. But if both phones using wifi while transferring I don't think it makes a difference.

I cant thank you enough. I cannot believe that there is no video like this on the whatsapp FAQ. Btw, for this to work, you cannot have Whatsapp already installed on your Android. If you have already download it, delete it. Doing so, you can follow the steps described in the video and everything will work.

This is the most annoying thing ever to do but the video explains it well. Just MAKE SURE you have WhatsApp uninstalled on your Android phone, but installed on your iPhone.

This trick worked the 2nd time i tried. Not the entire chat was transferred but 90% of it was transferred. Its correct that you when transferring chats from iPhone.. you have to uninstall the app in your Android phone then it works almost perfectly. Just follow step by step process shown in the video. You will succeed.

Great stuff 😀 After many tries, I couldn't get it to work, but after following the instructions step-by-step and got to each screen (as shown in the video), this successfully imported chat from old iphone. One thing that didn't work was that whatsapp didn't install, so had to find this on the google play store. Although, I still verified phone number and imported chat in the end as shown.

One thing to add here is …..at your step @ 3.26 min ….you have to wait for android to process or organise the downloaded data. This took me almost 30 mins as the chat backup size was about 3 gb It shows up in the notification list I tried to register WhatsApp a few times before it completed and got blocked for 48 hts So please add that to the video
That’s why I can’t restore my data! I’m at the organising stage now so I have to wait till it finished to import the chat? Coz i reinstalled WhatsApp and it only allowed me to restore from google drive

Worked like a charm.. Failed few times coz battery was low. Charge both phones above 80% if you are facing issues .

I transferred the sim from my iPhone to my new Galaxy before the process. But if both phones connected to wifi, I don't think it matters.
you have to place the SIM at your iPhone so you can do the verification step without "cancel", else you will fail

@@user-xi8sd9ux3f I had to uninstall because the first time I tried, the importing chats process did not appeared and my WhatsApp opened as if it was new, no chats at all. I uninstalled and reinstalled while both devices connected and then the import chats window showed up. At first I thought I lost my chats but eventually the process completed. Hope it helps!
