- (Episode 473)
On this episode, Pete Bowman is fishing Whitby Harbour, one of the many harbours along the north shore of Lake Ontario, where a variety of game fish populate. Instead of targeting one species, Pete decides to set his hook on anything that is hungry. As he is tormented by a pack of jacked up & crazy Chinook Salmon, a new-found population of Northern Pike keep him sane!

One of Canada's longest-running fishing shows, Fish'n Canada travels from coast to coast in search of trophy fishing opportunities. First started by brothers Angelo and Reno Viola in 1986, The Fish’n Canada Show has been on the air for over 30 years. Today, Angelo is joined by lifelong fishing buddy, Pete Bowman, and the pair continue to travel across Canada educating anglers using the experience they’ve gained over the years #Season31 #FishingCanada Спорт
Met you and Angelo today at the Sportsman Show (with my Daughter and Grandkids)
We live near the Toronto Zoo so we will check out Whitby Harbour !
Thanks for the suggestions on some new places to visit!
5 THUMBZZUPP" from Idaho! Great Day IMO"
Excellent!
Great episode guys (o:
corkscrew swivels work just as well.
why do people hate on Pike so much? They get big and aggressive and taste great out of deep water or out of the ice. I get the mystique of salmon, but Pike fight just as hard with the head shaking they have during the fight.
We agree with everything you said about Pike especially the taste!!!
For the Whitby harbour where’s a good place to park so we can go shore fishing?
Cool video!👌🏼
Thx DSH!👍👍
I suppose Monday morning is a good time to visit an inner Harbor to avoid being harassed by the marina employees. I love the show and am glad I a least get to see people catch fish where your otherwise badgered by people who don't understand maritime law.
man I've been trying down here in leamington, buddy got one last week but no luck yet
Keep at it Hardcore!
Great video but I have questions x2.
Is that water clean enough to eat fish from?
More importantly are there shore fishing spots or do I need a boat.

@@petermoyes8766 do you know any good spots for smallmouth and largemouth fishing from the bank? I'm in Toronto
Love it. Just subscribed. What lures were you using?
Hi Syyed sorry for the delayed response. We used both Lucky Strike and Cleo's on that water. They're good anywhere!
Anyone know any accommodation where fishing is on site or near in Ontario? I want to come over form the uk
it depends on where and when you want to visit Ontario, there are way to many options available, and timing is very important. June Thru August can be great months to visit. there are ample opportunities to search for various full service
lodges on the internet.
Terrific insight to what’s around TO. I kayak fish with an Old Town Predator pdl with a trolling motor. Was a great year until I broke my leg. I’m hoping it will heal by the end of September. Looking for easy kayak floats and fish. Was your trip in October? Just trying to time it. Frenchman’s, Oshawa and Whitby look like they’re good launches. $?
Be safe and take care
Bryan
I'm somewhat new to fishing, especially in Toronto. I'm from the bank, do you know any good spots to catch smallmouth and largemouth bass?
Bryan sorry for the late reply. Yes it was October
They don't let us fish. Our opportunities are nothing compared to American cities located on the great lakes, we don't have any public spaces, especially for fishing. We need to force the goerment to do something about it. It's a shame
