That handshake at the end was like a train wreck in slow motion. It was kinda wholesome how they all kept at it until everybody got a handshake or fist bump in spite of the massive awkward energy, though.
No wonder why the FGC doesn't want to be associated with the Smash community.
Yeah though keep in my the age of these videos. I believe the problem always was that the FGC was older and more mature as they had been around longer. The smash scene has since matured a lot from being a bunch of angsty teenagers (From my experience at least)
(by age I mean in how old the clips are, not necessary the video, the only recent ones were the disgusting Thunder Smash stuff which the smash scene universally hated at the time as well)
They produce stuff like Leffen and his toxic fanbase so it’s a understanding ngl

There are a few genuinely good Smash commentators, but too many tournament organizers and budding commentators alike think all they need is knowledge of terminology and wanting to be on camera and it'll all work; no charisma, no chemistry, no definition of "good commentary", etc.
