One of my favorite things to do is mound soil, using boulders and multiple size rocks! Great job here. The only thing I do differently is instead of using plastic bender board to outline and separate planting areas, I prefer corten steel.

It never ceases to amaze me how these landscape designers never take maintenance into consideration. If you want a long lasting low maintenance landscape go very simple. Don’t combine different elements like mulch and rocks. The mulch will become impossible to clean from in between the rock.
