Oh boi, a fresh CoH gameplay. I haven't seen one of these since, well, since CoH2 came out. Back then you finished a CoH tournament, and showed some CoH2 campaign. And then it was gone.
Love the brief pauses talking about strategy.
Personally, I would be happy to see a few more of them coming.

Today Inuki learnt that airborne reinforcements does not cost manpower.
12:55 AT guns CAN fire through smoke though, but you have to do it manually with "attack ground".
I remeber INUKI from coh1 days. He was super entertaining.
Cut-off plays aren't cheese, they are an important mechanic to learn in 1v1 and the Africa Core are all about mobility, you should expect a few half tracks and flame throwers kicking about, Cheese strikes redacted!
They sure aren't cheese! There is hardly any cheese in Company of Heroes overall. There's things like in Company of Heroes you might have mass pioneer starts for Wehrmacht but...it's just not on the same level of a proxy pylon rush. I think I mention that Company of Heroes doesn't really have cheese but 'if it did' this would be it. It's the go-to-win against opponents that struggle to deal with it.
The road cut off point in Road to Tunis is quite obvious or 'pronounced' and the DAK are very mobile. So it makes sense why players would commonly rush towards it within the first days of the test. Likewise flamethrowers were very strong and putting them in half tracks makes them not take damage. Certainly isn't cheese but in my own network of discussions these were two things people regularly encountered. Kind of like in Starcraft how people tend to try cheese for easy wins.
So it's not cheese. It's just about as close to cheese. I don't mind though. I'm very grateful for the match against Icekill and had fun!

man the constant full screen tactical minimap kinda breaks the immersion for me haha (and also not seeing certain plays/event playing out, since you are constantly in full screen minimap) Great commentary though and some nice insight on somethings.
When I play in the future what I will do is never use the tactical map for a better viewing experience =) Well...I'll try to!
@@TheIronCasthaha well "neeeever" might be overkill, the tactical minimap is just damn handy to use, but a little less usage of the "full screen mode" so the viewers can soak in the full battlefield might be nice :P. Don't know if any good players do this, but do people use the minimap on the left, without zooming in, or is that a hassle and just to small to read certain info off from. (that way you can still use the tactical minimap somewhat, + have the battlefield on full screen :D, (but not sure if people use the minimap that way ha)

Also worth noting that the map lighting is "bugged" in this stress test version. The other 1v1, Twin Beaches, had proper lighting and looked better. Though there's lots of valid complaints with CoH 3's visuals and audios. For me it's more important that the gameplay is there. Which it is =)
That is some really bad gameplay :/
Because it's the stress test there was essentially no matchmaking. Day 1 and everyone is learning factions so there is forgiveness to be had for all players!
