Izzy actually did come back for one episode, and did try to get back together with Alex, though Alex rejected the effort, I believe his exact words were, "I love you, but I deserve better." Which I couldn't blame him for, though was still sad that the writers decided to go that root (ie. initially leaving Alex via a letter).
actually she didn't remember she came back and then when she did he told her that he didn't want her to come back anymore because if she left him once he was scared that she would leave him again. What she had done was she sent divorce papers to him.

Jo was literally the whole package for Alex. She wants kids, she understands his past, she is there for him. They got married. They started of as friends and they are literally soulmates. She literally is so loyal to him. I literally don’t understand why he left her for IZZIE. Izzie literally left him for no reason at all. Like this is so unreasonable.

They were so good together. It's so sad that it has ended this way. She deserved better than that. Honestly it would have been better if they killed him off....he's never going to return to grey's anyway so to ruin the amazing character development and for what. So sad.
I can't believe that after all the character growth that Alex went through since season 1 that he would actually just leave his wife like that , now what, he is going to switch back to loving Izzie who left him just because she had his kids without telling him !!!! They should have killed Alex and that way they would have kept the Jo and Alex love story pure and intact and beautiful instead of making Alex into a monster who cheats and abandons his true love! And then maybe they could have made Jo pregnant so that the fans could have gotten the Jolex baby.
They did already do that plot of pregnant after the father's death with Meredith and Derek AND in Amelia's Private Practice plot and Grey's backstory so. It would be pretty over the top to do that with Jo too. Idk

I think they got the idea fro Katherine Heighl herself because she did an interview recently where if she could come back she would because she don't like somebody else with her man so the writers may have saw that and put that together. What it proves is that even though he loved Jo he still had Izzie number and was still communicating with Izzie so he never stopped loving Izzie.
I don’t think they’d do that. Mostly because the actor for Alex is done being on the show. I haven’t been able to find an explanation online as to why they wrote him off or why he is leaving. But if Jo were to be pregnant Alex would have to come back to address it.

Who else felt the pain Jo felt when she was telling Link that Alex left her. I was sobbing. This was the worst decision the writers could ever make beside killing off Derek. Izzy didnt deserve Alex she left him and then kept him away from his kids for 5 years and then allowed him to leave his wife!
I actually like this ending. Like, it sucks, but I actually like the writing. They've been forshadowing it for seasons. It shows that Alex is not perfect. He's grown, but not so much that he's a different person. He's still the person to make impulsive choices to benefit himself. Izzie was his first love, maybe not the longest, or the most stable and happy, but the most passionate and the deepest. I totally get why people are pissed at his ending, but I'm not surprised. He's been in love with Izzie for YEARS. I'm surprised he didn't go back sooner.
I can get him leaving for his kids but Alex wouldn’t just get back together with Izzy like that. He would bring her with him or find a way to be a dad and a husband to jo. Alex’s whole development was ruined. As much as I love him I would rather him have died some tragic way instead of just leaving.
This is just terrible to watch i loved them so much Jo was so good for him and he was good for her. Izzie packed up and left him and he knew how much that hurt and he just left Jo. Shonda Rhimes smh.

The truth is that all letters are different to Meredith he write straight if not the kids he return to jo, he wrote to jo that he in love with izzie beavudr he wanted she move on a bit faster if that help her think about him with a bit of hate he'll do that for her that as the truth
She just.. she got left by Alex the same way Izzie left him and it hurts. She didn't deserve it.. and Alex of all people should have known how bad that was gonna hurt her, because it hurt him. Screw Izzie. Never liked her anyway and this ending for Alex really sealed it.

I’m so sorry I never officially joined the fandom. But I learned a way through an app that I felt comfortable downloading videos from. And I started making my own videos. Who else felt the pain Jo felt when she was telling Link that Alex left her. I was sobbing. This was the worst decision the writers could ever make beside killing off Derek. Izzy didnt deserve Alex she left him and then kept him away from his kids for 5 years and then allowed him to leave his wife!

I actually like this ending. Like, it sucks, but I actually like the writing. They've been forshadowing it for seasons. It shows that Alex is not perfect. He's grown, but not so much that he's a different person. He's still the person to make impulsive choices to benefit himself. Izzie was his first love, maybe not the longest, or the most stable and happy, but the most passionate and the deepest.
I totally get why people are pissed at his ending, but I'm not surprised. He's been in love with Izzie for YEARS. I'm surprised he didn't go back sooner.

I can get him leaving for his kids but Alex wouldn’t just get back together with Izzy like that. He would bring her with him or find a way to be a dad and a husband to jo. Alex’s whole development was ruined. As much as I love him I would rather him have died some tragic way instead of just leaving.
This is just terrible to watch i loved them so much Jo was so good for him and he was good for her. Izzie packed up and left him and he knew how much that hurt and he just left Jo. Shonda Rhimes smh.

Thanks for watching and commenting. 💜💙 Because i have experience being ghosted in a romantic relationship where we weren't even engaged or that committed and I'd known the guy nearly 2 years but we'd only been dating for less than a whole year of that and it was still so traumatic for me, the thought of this possibly happening inside a marriage as happy and sure as Jo's was borderline traumatic for me to watch. I just internalized how this was literally the most awful thing ever that it doesn't even compute for Jo and couldn't resist making this tribute. Maybe I'll even make another tribute to this arc in this future. I still haven't shaken all my feels over it.

Yes it doesn't make any sense to choose Izzie. He didn't choose his kids over Jo. He chose Izzie over Jo. And the writing is so stupid for it. He could've chosen his kids and stayed with Jo if the actor hadn't left the show. It would've been more in character too.

Personally I think Izzy and Alex should have got a better chance but then she left him.And after many years he found jo and fell in love.I don’t like the way the writers cut off Alex’s storyline but it was the best choice either they kill him off and the fans aren’t happy and there might be a slight chance that Justin might come back.Or he lives in Seattle and doesn’t talk to jo and divorces her.Which wouldn’t have been fair to anybody.And then there’s him go back to Izzy.That was the best choice they could have picked.Because there might be the slightest chance that he might come back.
