Mark, when I was station at Naval Station Subic Bay in middle 70s with Marine Barracks. The population of the Philippines was 45 million now 110 million. I saw old President Marco with Imelda Marcos like 30 yards away on Naval Station. I got my own personal pictures of them. Philippines have not changed from 70s till now. Same old Philippines. Never to change. Sorry to say that. Your guest is correct about Japan. Japan very modern and clean. I love living in Japan. But I still love the Philippines even with all it's shortcomings. And soon I will return to Dumaguete hopefully early next year.

Hi Mark. The owner for my apartment is a Ship Captain he's is out to sea up to 6 months at a time. The ship is Canadian registry. He gets paid Canadian wages. He and his wife are really nice people. Great landlords.

I found Vietnam to be kinda cold as well. I prefer my little studio apartment in Bangkok, but I would love to visit the Philippines someday! I love going to China though, I've been to China 4 different times, and probably 10 different provinces. We get a 10 year multiple entry tourist visa as Americans to China. Their government sucks, but the Chinese people are worth getting to know, theres some good people there just trying to do their best. I've never had any problems in China, the only time I've been stopped by the police anywhere in China is because they wanted a selfie.

In the last couple of months become hooked on Temu, free shipping and the goods and price for me are on point. As a big guy needing tops, I have bought over 10 all good fits and comfy running from $7-10 apiece.

Temu product's quality sucks. I tried it for a while because it's cheaper than Amazon but from low quality items to sending you wrong orders and it takes from 4+ days to be delivered and the worst part is sending it back for return or exchange is almost impossible... I will stick it Amazon😊
