You aren’t wrong at all. I went ordered me a 30 and 40rd mag to finish it out. I don’t know why they ship with a 20. But at least they are stainless also.
Nice review. I just got the exact same gun. I installed a sight using the included site attachment area and rings which was super easy and didn't installed the picatinny rail. Do you know what can go on the black thing on the barrel? Looks like it can accept something. Maybe a barrel stabilizer? It has a shape that looks like something can lock into it.
Just got this exact model the other day. Well kinda, im still waiting on the damn background check to clear. First time ever buying a gun and my background check didnt go straight through. I was so bummed!! They must have changed the way it works or something becauze ive never not had an instant approval until now
@AncientRe well clearly you don't know how to read because I said it's Mt first time buying a gun and the background check didn't clear instantly. Meaning every pther time I bought a gun it cleared instantly.
It always happens like that man it's not just you I have a concealed weapons permit an armed security guard permit and it still took me 5 hours to get the thing funny part about it wasn't even a whole gun it was too lowers for ARS
@realScupperMan not the first gun purchase. Just the first time when purchasing a fire arm that I had to wait. Every other time I have gotten instant approval.
Buy private party at gun show with no background or paperwork trail for the govt to track you. If cameltoe gets in the dems will start their confiscation bullshit agsin
is that any different from a slightly older model with an upgraded Samson folding stock? i think the stocks are actually still made by Samson, Ruger is just now packaging them as a factory option, or is Ruger actually making the folding stocks now as well?
I've had both stainless and blue, the only thing I noticed with the stainless, it seemed to get hot quickly and would it would lose it's accuracy and take longer to cool off. That's just what I noticed and is my opinion.
I have an original Mini-14 "A-Team" Model from 1983 and this one as well. I also have bought the .22 LR Version earlier this year. None of these leave the safe/display but I have two other Mini-14s that I shoot regularly. Both are the tactical versions but one has wooden furniture (Model 5889) and one has the black synthetic furniture (Model 5819.) Can't own too many Mini-14s.
Back in the '80's these were very inexpensive and very unreliable...mostly due to finicky magazine requirements. I like Ruger though, and I sure hope they've made this latest generation more reliable. How about a follow up video after a few thousand rounds to tell us how well the carbine works?
I had a new one that I paid way too much for recently and it's unreliable like the other three I've owned in the past. I want to like the mini 14 but when a 500 dollar AR is more reliable then..
Its amazing how much whine ing about a forward assist being on AR butt here is a design that is less prone to jamming and has the side charging handle to seat that round ? the conflict continuous 🤣 the mini stainless steel is the way to go!
So in my communist utopia California the pistol grip, folding stock, flash hider and 20 round mag make you a felon! But if we ever prevail in court, I’ll have one in a heartbeat.
I love it when a plan comes together.
I see you got in in the PSA Easter sale also. Picked mine up last week.
PSA is the Amazon of the 2A world

My cousin has the mini 30 that looks just like that.

Maybe a bayonet
these would be so much cooler if they used AR magazines
Nah would be kinda lame
@@TheCosmicGuy0111 Why? cheaper and universal
@@itcu185 cause it’s like asking make an AK with AR mags
If you don't own AR magazines I don't see why it would matter. I don't so it did not affect me.
@@Betazeno AR mags are cheap and plentiful mini14 are not at least where I am
The A-Team flash hider worked so well, you didnt see the flash until the bullet struck a windshield,
then the sparks flew.
I hope they make the stainless mags available separately someday, they aren't showing them on the Ruger website yet.
Proprietary magazine is Achilles heel. All these years and never changed to AR mag. I think there used to be a conv. kit.
Im torn between making it standard or keeping it original. I think Ruger wants it to be "different"
I got the Samson ATM stock for mine with Hannibal rail to make it look and function like this.

That’s so beautiful man
I can’t believe how expensive these have become
💵?
lol, yeah
Should make mini 14 pistol version. Be great backpack size.
sick. got more of it pls? shooting, maintanence, running around, carrying on back, carrying in back pack, mods etc. would love to see those.
Just need a cigar!
And a plan

I only have 2, this and the all wood stock.. But I also have their uncle, the M1, its just like the MIni 14, just bigger
Mag lockup on those rifles is terrible. You have to get a pin in the mag well to index/fit into a hole on the front of the mag.
looks great! I want one!

proprietary mags?
Standard Mini 14 mags
Nice gun!
How do you buy a new one when I go to ruger they send me to ffl dealer with used ones I don’t mind but I’d like a new one any tips?
Gallery of Guns! Uses local dealers via zip code!✌️
I got it from Palmetto

Had one just like it but had a Falcon folding stock and it was the best rifle I ever got rid of! 😔
Crazy how expensive these have gotten. Bought one in 2019 for $300
Used, not new! And from someone who was getting divorced!😂 Maybe in the 80s! I bought one for $350ish in 1985!✌️
I had an early one. Wouldn't hit the ocean from a dinghy.
Looks great, but I believe the "plastic thing" is called a Heat Shield !!!! Not plastic thing 😂
It doesn't make it any less of a plastic thing....
A team had ac556 with 16in barrel
That's correct it was the AC 556 full auto
WHAT IS UP WITH THE GLOVES ?
I put them on before opening the box... I hate cutting up my fingers opening boxes
It's
Micheal Jackson
We can't see how nasty his fingernails are.
I gotta have one!

...well. man, STAINLESS

🔥💪👌
I just want to know the accuracy
No different than the typical Mini 14. The full wood stock is more stable
How much?
$1200
1800.00 in my area saw one in a gunshot the other day for 2000.00
@@raymondotterbinefrom?
Do they have these in California? I need one
I think it violates the California laws because of the magazine capacity and folding stock
What is with the gloves? Get some heat!
I have ugly fat people hands
Lame that it only comes with a 18.5" bbl and only in stainless. Come-on Ruger!!
i wish they had a 16" version
You can get the 30 16" and install that stock.
We will call that the BA Barack's special
I PITTY THE FOOL! if you don't know what I mean than the "A Team" does not mean all that much to you.
with a nasty plastic pistol grip?
The weapon for A-Team wannabes. I pity da fool!!
