I really love when the writers trust the audience enough to not spell it out entirely and just trust us to keep up and catch the hint like this. Perfect. And you can see Olivia's entire perspective of this girl shift as she figures it out, its incredible.

I never looked more to any female role on TV than I do for Olivia Benson. I literally aspire to be as confident, fearless, and sharp as her.

Gwen Scott Evidence? What statistics do you have showing that role models on television “can be dangerous for your mental health”? Or can you at least provide a logical explanation for this hypothesis? No? Just being sort of obnoxious to this girl? Heart filled with scorn and disdain? Let go of it. Let her have her heroine. Role models are important, not least for young girls who very often have a limited choice of women to look up to and admire. Strange you wouldn’t know this.

Wow...Benson fired on ALL cylinders here. She was ruthless yet honest. THAT is a rare woman indeed. Most try to sugar coat things to make it easier but she delivered it hard and cold. Much admiration for that one.
I would not piss off Mariska in real life. I'm sure she goes into SVU mode and talks you down a few pegs and makes you want to confess to anything.
If i made eye contact with her i would spill everything i ever said, heard, or did.

I'm happy that olivia help cece break the spell that doctor has held on her and reunited with her father and this episode brought me to tears
This was a great Law & Order: SVU twist revelation. I'm glad it ended happily with Ceci, even if she must still pay for what she did, finally being reunited with her father.
It's been AGES since we had a good twist. The writing is already improved tenfold after last season.

@@Panwere36 perhaps that is true but it can be indirect or direct. We all are capable of great good or great evil. Men can use women and Women can use men. But at the end of the day we’re all make our own choices and they all have effects and consequences whether direct or not. But when it comes to matters like people who rape somebody, it’s never the victims fault especially when they didn’t want that. Rape is divided between statutory which is consensual but the age difference and the power imbalance is what makes it an issue and a crime and forced rape is when someone has sex with you against your will or coerced into doing it. Should victims really be blamed for something horrible happening to them? I don’t think so.

It gets on my nerves how everyone is turning on Benson(Mariska) because she chose to stay on the show and keep some of its originality. Everyone else left due to personal reasons or because they wanted to try their hand acting in other venues.
I commend her for staying on. Imagine for he whole cast left and they tried to keep L&O with a whole new cast. It wouldn’t be on this long.
So everything may evolve around her, she’s earned it. I liked all the characters and I’m so sorry sis bear to leave due to personal reassigns but not one character was bad except the blond chick that’s on now who has the crazy sister and mother. She’s the only character I can’t stand.
Mariska stayed true to the series and everyone’s going off on her like she made everyone leave. If she stayed in and out the work in the show should be about her.
I don’t watch TV at all and come on RUclips to get clips and looks like it’s holding its own. Heard the guy who played Barba who was a great character DA had something tragic happen in his life so that why he didn’t return but more power to Mariska,Olivia, Benson.

Blonde chick (Rollins) to me was a good character while Nick was there. After he left she kinda got annoying and uninteresting to me, she keeps getting pregnant by so many different guys, none of whom she actually was with.

Yes, that is fun to watch when they bring back actors who played a different character in another episode, especially in an episode from years ago! I just watched a RUclips clip of a recent episode, and as the "bad guy" was talking trying to justify himself, I realized he looked & sounded so familiar. I figured out he was from an old episode from the Elliot Stabler era where he played the young 'fall guy" who was set up & blamed for a rape he didn't commit by a criminal grifter family. Can't remember his character's name back then, maybe Daryl ? But seeing him in the recent episode was kind of cool, aso just to see how he has aged from young guy to middle aged guy. But the eyes and the facial mannerisms and way of speaking still gave him away, and I knew I had seen this guy before !

I remember being totally shocked whenever I watched this as it was airing live (as in the first time it was ever on TV as a new ep). Often this show is a bit predictable but I didn’t expect this at ALL.

Love the twist but can someone explain to me how Olivia realizes that "Sadie" is Cici? Just an intuition? It seemed as something that just came out of the blue
Earlier in the episode of cicis dad oh what the hey Ruth is dead (cicis mom)
"what the hey". She used that same line as her father did earlier in the episode.
- Olivia had visited Ceci's father earlier and he would say "What the hey..." when "Sadie" said "Oh, but what the hey..."....it's like a hereditary thing of sorts; your parents have certain words or sayings and eventually the younger family members have it sort of passed down to them too. Olivia heard "Sadie" say those words exactly the way Ceci's father did earlier & that's when Olivia put the pieces together and uncovered "Sadie" for who she really was...."Sadie" was Ceci all along.

I was very disappointed with this ‘twist’ ending. As soon as the body in the wall wasn’t Ceci it was obvious how the rest was going to go. I know it’s very unlikely given Benson’s personal biases and the fact that she supposed to be the hero of the story, but I’d like to see more storylines where the female perpetrators aren’t turned into victims. Almost every time there’s a woman at fault they give her a sob story or let her off the hook for some other reason and it’s really gotten old.
