Ryan, you have no idea how hard this hit home for me. Everytime I make videos I try to plan out everything, down to every shot, and I’ve realized that’s the worst way to do it. Freedom of creativity is what makes it so fun. When you have no freedom to create on the fly, it’s draining. I loved this video. Also really glad you’ve come this far man. Keep it up 🔥

But when you think of it, not many people could do what they truly wanted in life. So as an artist myself, whenever I experience something like this, I just think I'm blessed to be able to do what I do. Even sometimes when we feel obligated to do stuff, this is still far from a desk job that requires next-level compliance. This is great Ryan, very relatable.

Happened to pretty much everyone, same story same feelings. End of the day, once you make a job out of your hobby, then it's not a hobby anymore and you feel obligated to do it even at times you dont want to...ends up in total burn out.
The you need a looong break from everything just to restore yourself and slowly start again 😀

I felt this is in a very real way, man! As a gigging musician, this happens, too! Finding creative ways to experiment in real time has been exciting, being conscious of where I am and what I’m doing helps me remember that kid that so many years ago watched hours of Hendrix and Mayer and picked up a guitar. Great work on this, Ryan!

Please stop "crying" Ryan. And I'm not saying this for bad.. You are a young talented man who do what you love. You are blessed for making your passion your job. Remember that not anyone can do that. Focus on it man. Make videos, create, enjoy life. Enjoy YOUR LIFE! Stop thinking of what's going wrong and focus to the things that make you happy and creative. That's what matters and that will make you smile. Feeling empty from times to times is natural. But you have to go on. All of us have to.

This is awesome. Was about to make a video so similar to this. I started as a video producer full time with an organization and realized I was all the sudden, a year into the job, limiting my creative pursuits to the 9-5 box. I used to go out all the time for fun and allow myself to be pushed to try new things. The way you put it resonated with me, love the challenge to go out and shoot with a simple rig for the fun of it.

this really resonated with me, thank you Ryan. as a creator in our current climate it is so hard to slow down and try something new. content nowadays is so fast paced and I feel trying something new and failing will slow me down, this video was the slap in the face I needed.

I really relate to this and so for many people. As also a RUclipsr and Freelance illustrator, getting the fire is being free and this is amazing thing to do and some way I chose to be this but when it feels like a job, that becomes a killer because of responsibility, reliability and even worrying. I try to improve on not thinking this as a job and I have just do it than at all like mindfulness on work or setting new boundaries and new things in between. Also, congratulations on your marriage, Ryan.

Dude again you seem very happy now and that’s exciting to see. Hoping you two found a new spot to live that makes things that much better. Also awesome that your fiancé can come on some of these shoots, makes it easier to maintain a great relationship with a heavy travel schedule.
As for the plug-in, wow that looks solid. I feel like I’ve been lazy shooting in Auto, I want to explore log but it’s intimidating. Great tips on the tripod and wow that’s affordable as well.

Broo this was refreshing and hits home. The hard part about having your passion be your source of lively hood can take the fun out of it and turns it into all business, but as you said looking back to the things that got you excited about making things brings the spark back. Taking time to recenter creatively is vital! 🫡 loved this one!

Now, working towards finding ways I can create while making a living. Great story! Mindfulness has become my new watchword on my path of creativity. It all can be learned.

    • @MindfulGrinds
      @MindfulGrinds Год назад

@@dawoodilyas1998 A huge thing for me was and still is finding focus and balance. I find that when I am able to embrace intentional interaction with how I connect to the digital world, then I feel more in control of my life. That feeling of being in control is not the only product however. Deliberately trying to be present fully here and now rather than proselytizing about tomorrow or other future events helps me as well. Being present right in the moment and working to “dehaze” my thoughts helps me to find more productivity on whatever it is I am doing.
I feel it may be different for everyone, but I have a very busy and active mind almost to a point of being overwhelmed often. I have never really been a huge meditator, but taking time to listen to white noise or a calm stream a few times per day while taking deep and intentional breathing is super helpful for me. Clearing the noise in the mind really helps in clarity.
Another thing I find that helps in working to practice mindfulness is in how I perceive myself. Negative self-talk can be debilitating. Being present now helps me to be aware of my own thought process so I can recognize when I am starting to develop negative thoughts which I am very prone to.
I believe that mindful living practices work differently for everyone, but in general, clearing the mind, and transitioning to a more positive mindset that is intentional about the activity of the moment is a huge step forward.

Loved the video Ryan! I've luckily been doing fairly well mentally with posting often and trying to bring better videos every time. I've been trying to keep myself aligned with my priorities when it comes to creating content that just makes me happy to create with. I like to believe and create with the interest of "Create like the algorithm doesn't matter." That's helped me just create things I truly want to rather than simply just creating for what is trending. Not near the size of your channel yet, but it's helped me!

Another great thing you can do with that same set up is to hold two legs of the tripod, one under each armpit and the third leg over your belt (belly button area) and point the camera at yourself and go for a walk…. instant Snorricam rig “ala Requiem for a Dream”
PS: That focal length won’t work though but a 35mm would do 😬
