I really like this model including the things you dont like about it, I like it better than the new models. Its just right for me. However, im terrified of the cost of repairs, headaches and stress from trying to fix problems with the car which is very likely to happen with a used car and on top of that, its a BMW which are notorious for being difficult to work on with expensive parts. I wish there was a modern, new car that offered what this one does without a price tag of 40, $50k
How about the 6-cyl variant in this vehicle, by chance, by chance? You can get one with a 35i engine. Is the 6-cylinder more reliable than the 4-cylinder?
I would just winter, when weather is bad, I’m looking at one for 10K with 135k miles, on the other hand I wanna pay a little more for a rav4 prime which is plug-in and hybrid n get about 7k tax credit…🙈
The $10-15k estimate is definitely low with the car market the way it is now a year later. Though the XDrive35i is the top of the line and 45k is low for milage, so that explains most of the price difference. One like he has would likely be around $16k these days.
That cup holder sucks. My wife has the same car and it probably was made for midgets 😆 That cup holder pulls out and I throw it in the back seat. But don't let that small car fool you when you jump on it.
You can pull the cup holder. It’s only retained by a magnet.

I saw a 2014 X1 with 71k miles and I was thinking of buying it to do uber with it. Would it be a good idea?
I don't recommend this car for Uber
Snag yourself a Camry/Avalon... Likely last longer and maintenance would be cheaper.
Do not uber with it, im trying to fix timing chain myself instead of paying bmw 6k to do it. Replace timing chain before 100k miles

Thanks for the tip
I don't know about $10-15k in this market... I just looked at a 2013 X1 xDrive35i for $22k. 45k miles.

Yes agree
Does it has heated seats and 360 view camera?
Any issues with the car? I'm looking at one for my daughter (a 2015) with 158k miles...
Did you end up getting it? I was also looking to get a 2014 model with around 100k miles. Just wondering if you’ve had any issues so far
@@mrinaaltomar hi I’m currently looking at one with 27k miles 2013 xdrive...it’s at a hood price but I’m concerned about how long will it last
Can have timing chain issues after 100k miles that bmw charges 6k to fix
Ask if it has been changed, if so, you are golden
@@nikeaddicts6063no it costs 2k to fix a time chain I just got it replaced
How many km do you have?
What type of wheels?
Interesting. It is quite a lot different to my U.K. model
So is x1 really small like sedan?
A little bigger than a sedan but def not an SUV

Can you use the cheaper gas with this one or does this only take premium?
Only premium
