I'm new to Hi-fi equipment and recently bought a Marantz PM7000N with the 3030c, but I missing some bass here. Meds and Highs have some predominance and clarity, but the bass is always "further back". I always need to compensate on the Bass knob by 2/3 steps. Seems that bass starts to have some life when I increase volume but then highs as meds are way up there...
@ I’m using a Marantz PM7003 with a SMSL SU-1 DAC and I got plenty of bass in my 3030c. Sometimes I have to use the foam plugs too. I’m running it with “source direct” .
Hi, how do these compare to the 5000 series? The 3050c are the same price as 5040 The 3030c are the same price as 5020 Which models sound better out of the above compared?
The 5000 series are a little older so have dropped in price now. I think I would still go for 5020 or 5040, they are exceptional for their price bracket. - John
@@Peter-Tyson have you covered a review of the Acoustic Energy AE1 powered bookshelf speakers? How do they fair to the 5040 for sound quality and presentation?

Just paired the denon ceol n9 to the 3020C. Working nicely. Not to sure about the sound during movies.

5040 with a good amp and source would be my choice. You will have a system that can be upgraded too so will last longer. - John
