@@ahammy1 When I came in, there was someone flipping through those cases in the middle, and the employee standing there with them. It must have been 10 minutes, because I made it to the trades then back to the floppies and they were still there!
Okay I have Dallas peeps in here. What’s your favorite shop? And does anyone know of a cleaner presser around here?! @huntercapone I’ll watch a video on either of these topics lol
I'm in Minneapolis and we have 6 HPB stores around the Twin Cities. Most of them seem to price their comics at $2 as standard but the store I visited recently had actually priced most of their comics at $3. Definitely not "half price" any more. And it wasn't on books that are more valuable. We're talking basic run fillers from the 80s and 90s. Like you, I used to be able to go in and find a good stack of back issues for cheap but those days seem to be over. As a result, I now go much less frequently to HPB for comics. They are no longer a place to find really cheap issues.
@@northgardencomics I'm glad I filled in a bunch already, but not feeling too much fomo anymore. The cheap 80s and 90s books can still be found elsewhere so unless its a specific issue I'm looking for, I am more patient to get them at a good price.
Was just there yesterday, only looked through that locked box (that you can only fit like 2 fingers in lol)😂
You didn’t check the back table or the locked cabinet where they used to only have Funko pops?
Locked cabinets are such a pain! I just wanna flip through floppies without having to have a store person watch me while I do it 😅
@ I found a 100 variant in there for 15 dollars so I check now. Used to avoid the locked areas

Yes they have, and it stinks. I visit that location as well. I'm much more selective now that they're selling them at $2 a pop.
@@buraddorun3043 I wonder if they're also paying people more for comics they bring in to sell.
My local HPB has all of their books individually priced. Average price is around $2.99-3.99 but they never have any Spideys 😩
Thats a bit high for me!

Every half price with in dfw is going to 2 dollars now. Also it pronounced Claus like Santa.
Thanks for that! And yeah that's what it seems like at HPB. At least it's consistent.
@@huntercapone the one in Keller seems to have the best turn over of comics.
