Thanks for that. Been playing guitar for 40 years and managed to avoid the B chords because I thoughtit was too hard and I couldn't do it. You've just rectified the problem in one swoop.
@@jaime4022 Since leaning and practicing the chord I've purposely tried to find songs that I like to use, it's opened up far more possibilities. It really helps if you actually like the song as then it's not a chore to play it. Good luck.
The chart I was looking at had me place a finger on the fifth string on the second fret!! I was wondering if it was even anatomically possible. This is such a lifesaver
I do really like this yet i appreciate the difficulty because you get more vibrant sounds with a finger or two drop or add. Mind you im still learning but the more difficult the more entertaining
My fingers are too short and hands are too small, if I try to hold the chord, my hand get too close and it just shuts the 6th string and it is also very uncomfortable to play difficult chords like this one even though I'm trying to do exactly like in the video. Is there a way I can do it so I can play it normally or are my fingers really are the problem? And sometimes the 3rd and 4th strings don't sound right and it kind of vibrates when I don't put my finger exactly on the end of the fret or a little under the center of it, and I just can't squeeze all my fingers in the fret so all of the strings would sound right.
You do. I understand the video is aimed to be helpful, but it is a terrible idea to start practicing improper techniques as a beginner - you're just developing bad habits. Proper thumb placement - pointing up, not sticking above neck - and letting gravity do the work for you to get pressure on your fingers is what this video should have gone for. You want to hit that root note on the 5th string - not just skip it and call it a day.

I have been learning how to play the guitar for a little under two years and have been avoided this damn chord like the plague.

@@Lamvesp that’s a good idea. I’m going to try that. Thanks for the suggestion.
what a nonsense comment, if this is true you haven't been playing for 40 years, you'd been fiddling, and not on a fiddle.
@@Lamvesp what the point of learning if you don't enjoy it? for the prestige?
Couldn't have been better explained! Short and clear. Thanks a lot
Glad it helped!
Been playing for a year , I got a c d e f and g but b was hard. Thanks for this form.

FINALLY A GOOD AND SIMPLE VIDEO THAT EXPLAINS THIS.

Even though it doesn't need a barre chord, it's still called F ?
Thanks again.

Came for copper

Never heard that one before 😂
Good beginning! 0:12 "Think of 'A' chord..."
Much obliged for that pearl of wisdom
Very welcome

Joe you are the first person in the history of guitar to play the B chord like that
But it will not be the last.
Thank You.

It's just practice, you can do it.
There are many ways you can play the B chord just find an easier version bit don't give up
you sound like The Beatles Rock Band tutorial voice :)
thx for that lesson!
great video, thanks
Finallyyyyyy💃💃💃💃… thank you so much
fucking brilliant! thanks!
Thanks a lot !!!
I've just been playing all F shape up the neck for my B haha
Thanks for your help
I don’t know what I’m doing wrong but when I play the chords it doesn’t sound right and very “off”
Really it would sound better if you barred the second fret. that's always how I've played it.....
nice joe
Thanks i been trying to play all i was seeing was B was played as abar chord
Which you should... since with this fingering you're removing the resonance of the root as the lowest note of the chord.
thx
Got it fist try
100% 🙏🙏
I thought you gotta barre them?
It hurts so much lol but atleast I can play creep now
You don’t bar 1-5 and hold 2,3,4 ? I’m gonna hurt my friend

0:27 THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID.... I apologize...
THANK YOU 🙏
What if your hands are too small to even reach the 4th fret from the 2nd 💀💀
My fingers are almost 3/4 inch.
What then?
that a pain tho to switch to bminor
I guess my fingers are too big for the guitar
No it’s only practice
Im lost
My fingers hurt
Good sign Trev, Hey thanks, if you haven't already maybe you could consider subscribing, it really helps me out.
Why they make is so awkward 😂 nearly impossible
B sucks along with Bar chords but I'm doing it😁😁😉
