3080 is 400$ on ebay without a doubt one of the most bang for your buck GPUs. I am building a pc of my own but I am still going to go with AMD's 7800 XT. The GRE is better than the 3080 in terms of performance by quite a lot, even the 7800 XT is.

Its all about price to performance. I just bought brand new rtx3080 evga 12gb ftx...for 500 euro...was very surprised of the price as i am looking from months and this card was always 1k from worse brands...so for me its cool.Gre is 700 euro
7900gre I would say its around 20% faster then RTX 3080 10gb, for RTX its like 5-15% slower but if you are going for USED RTX 3080, you can't beat the price to performance ratio on it, if you are going for new get 7900gre RTX 3080 10gb in used market is going for around 370-400$ I think, but again its up to you
I do play CP2077 on rtx3080 4k with rtx on and settings between medium-high with fair enough 50-60fps. Processor i7 12700k and 32gb 3600mhz ddr4 ram. Looks better on medium 4k than high 1440p
Who cares, can it play the game and are you happy? You worked hard for your card so just enjoy it and forget the rest. It wont matter in 10 years anyway when the cycle repeats.

If you find something for cheaper than a ‘competitor’, then yeah get it, I’m not saying a 3080 for $370 is worse than a 7900 GRE for $550, but in America, 3080 is around $400 used and 7900 GRE is around $520, it’s more than worth it for the features, FSR, and raw performance. 3080 is still a great card though, IMO one of if not the best nvidia GPU.
Please help me!! I just got a rtx 3080 and I currently have an Intel I5-11400F and a 750 watt gold psu. Will there be any significant bottleneck with it, I heard of some, or would I need to upgrade to I7 or I9 11th or 10th gen for it to work. My motherboard support LGA 1200.
I5-12600k would be ideal but that would require a mobo swap. On your socket LGA1200 board 11700k would be ideal but 11700f is the best option since no IGPU cuts price while retaining all the performance.
