This song was just While She Sleeps, don’t worry about what specific niche in whatever subgenre it falls under. I think what makes the song so great is that it incorporates several notable, recognizable elements from their entire discography in a way that doesn’t overcrowd the song at all (I think this is was phenomenally mixed as well). It manages to be very distinctly WSS’ without sounding like anything they’ve really done before. You can tell they really poured their hearts and souls into this one.
