Hey just wanted to let you know that matcha and green leaf teas are better to be made with 80°C water not boiling 100°+, brown leafs like hojicha on the contrary are better with boiling water Then when you whisk it first you have to do it back and forth to make big foam and then you do it in a W shape until there is no big bubbles, just tiny shinning bubbles, it almost looks like satin. I'm a traditional matcha barista in Japan so I hope this helps :)
I just started drinking matcha tea this week. I did a deep dive on learning tradition and the process, etc. Would you do a video on tips and how to buy, etc? Thanks!
@@janelynn2560 I have been contemplating the idea of making a RUclips channel about matcha and Japan but I have to ask the company that I'm working on now for permission since they trained me and I don't know if I can reveal the information and training they gave to me but I would absolutely 💚💚 I want people to drink matcha in the best way possible
One other thing, don’t put boiling water over the matcha otherwise you burn it and you get a bitter taste, no more than 80 degrees is the right temperature
The RUclipsr in the video, when saying 170 can only refer to Fahrenheit (since it’s transformed to steam at 100 celcius or 212 Fahrenheit). The RUclipsr use around 77 celcius for his heating temperature. I would think 70 to 75 celcius would be fine too for traditional matcha. I heard flavored matcha does exist too but I never tried that one. It seems that you can go as high as 85 celcius for the flavored matcha version.
I can tell from the colour of the matcha its not a very high grade - spend a little more for ceremonial grade, the aroma and colour are a million times better.
doesn't matcha have caffeine? i know it makes you less jittery than coffee but i imagine it still has the effects of caffeine. idk i've never had matcha though 🙋🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
matcha at night? matcha contains caffeine, which disturbs sleep, even if we don't feel it - our body can feel it. If someone falls asleep on caffeine, it means that they have a sharp disharmony in neurotransmitters, they are addicted and their adrenal glands are not working properly, in a word - it is a bad sign.

He meant 170 Fahrenheit which is about 76 degrees Celsius
Thanks for sharing! If you’d ever make a tutorial or even a vlog, I’d watch that on repeat

Does your daily matcha use ceremonial grade matcha, or is it possible to make something tasty with culinary grade?
I think it’s possible to make tasty matcha with culinary grade too
@@Ethanrodecoffee Good to know. If it makes sense, I would love to see a video talking about how to maximize the flavor of culinary grade matcha.
What brand of matcha do you use???
Lol me too, 35g espr. 4hrs later tsp of matcha and a shwishk. A good day every day

So uh, who the hell is going to measure the temperature of their hot water realistically
@@bobsag1164 just boil the kettle only so far, or boil it fully and let it cool down for 10 minutes

Matcha is one of the highest caffeine teas, how do you sleep at night?
Hi there I had a doubt, I use matcha capsules so what is the process I should use?
it's ok to drink at night matcha with the amount of caffeine?
Does it taste like green tea? Just always wondered. I have yet to see it in any of the markets where I live but want to try it soon.
It's kinda unique honestly, not like green tea it's almost savoury and has a really interesting smell and flavour
Can you do matcha with milk?
wow great "how to"`...unknown amount of matcha, unknown amount of water, unknown amount of milk,
Where did you get the bowl, wisk, and wisk stand please?
Bros not gonna sleep macha has a good 40 mg of caffeine

Just btw matcha has a lot of caffeine so it’s probably not good to drink before bed.
Where did you get the bowl? Is it made in china?
Matcha at night is not ideal, it still has a lot of caffein.
So it's kind of like shaving
Do you know that matcha has a natural cafine

Doesn't green tea have more caffeine than coffee
You know, you can just go to Starbucks, and they'll have it ready for you less than a minute.
