I had one of these for my second car, remapped with only a pd160 intake and uprated air filter, ran 200 bhp, shook its self to pieces and snapped 4 engine mounts. I had to put an uprated clutch in it after 16k miles. Smoked like crazy, I absolutely loved this car. Drove it like I stole it. Probably a cube now.

Those VRS Fabia diesel engines are one of the best 1.9 TDIs I have ever sat in. Even a factory remap they pull like a train. I genuinely wish they came back to production.

Also good to see Darkside in the mix, i have had a few parts from them in the past for my MK4 Golf GT TDi, they even gifted me a free intercooler hose for my EGR delete kit and they were extremely helpful on the phone at 12pm on a saturday morning giving me advise when i was installing my intercooler. Now that is customer service as it should be.
I met Ryan last year at the Yorkshire Motorsport Festival, he's a nice guy.. My passat will find it's way to Darkside this year for a tune hopefully.. great job Alex :)

love this build, great place Darkside and loads of bits on the shelf , next door is SRS too for salvaged spares its the place to go for VAG parts. Alex, I recently bought a fabia vrs and within two weeks it absolutley shat its pants. I had to replace the engine, turbo and flywheel and clutch .All back together now and running beutifully and I have a great little fun commuter car . next few months and it will be getting a similar spec build and I will be getting sut of the pop and shart map that it has on it.
Love this, the vRS is my guilty pleasure car, regret selling mine more than any other car I've owned. I've also followed the guys at Darkside for a long time and my A3 has a turbo from them in it after the original became a screamer.. Great value and service delivery wise too, def recommend them!

Awesome, I remember building up my MK4 Golf with Darkside gear, I managed to get around 170hp out of it on a full 130 setup before I let it go. I missed the PD Life so much I went back to it!
This was my first ever car in that same colour too lol, bought it off my grandparents and it was such a good car. Could clutch down uphill and never stall.

Spent many hours flying up and down the bypass near Darkside 😅 I remember test driving a fabia pd130 with my best mate a week after I passed my driving test.. dealership didn’t take any ID or come on the test drive either! 😂

I love my Fabia post Darkside visit. On track though, say goodbye to 40+ mpg. But its not all bad, the lowest that I have seen is 19 mpg. Not bad when a lot of the petrol cars around me are struggling to get much over 10 mpg.... Brands Indy circuit sees 20-24 mpg. Even just going for a (law abiding) drive on the road it always makes me grin. I always feel like its a car doing things that realistically, it shouldn't really do.
Love the PD130's. Proper fan used to have an ibiza FrTDi 130. Mapped really nicely by p-torque who got 317ftlb torque, it used to suprise everyone off the light's. Pocket soot rockets
This was my all time favourite car I’ve owned. Let me paint the picture… It was 2009, I was 19. All my friends had either Saxo VTR’s, 106 GTI’s and fiesta zetec S’. I went for the PD130 and absolutely rinsed them 😂 until my other mate who was earning a lot of money bought a civic Type R, he beat me 😂. Great times….

I was raised in the UK but now live in Canada. My MilSpec 109 LandRover has a 2.25 litre oil burner with 60hp and 104 ft lbs maybe! More like a tractor really. My GMC 2500HD pickup has a 6.6 litre Durmax with a six speed Allison transmission 4 wheel drive, slightly warmed over it produces about 490 hp and 900 ft lbs. I use it for towing my fifth wheel trailer when travelling.
Always fancied one of these! Terrific little car. Also, Dark Side are great guys - they sorted a clutch on a Audi S3 for me about ten years ago - were the cheapest and nicest people around - they have moved on a lot since then!
I remember a lad I knew called Patty he used to have a black Fabia and he had a massive darkside developments sticker in the back window. I used to live 20 minutes away from here. Everybody uses this place. Love Alex being in places I know it gets me excited 😂. Surprised he managed a day up North haha
I had a Skoda Fabia 1.2htp Combi/Estate which I had plans bigger than my wallet. I so wanted too put the PD130 Engine in it lower it etc but keep it as a sleeper. Sadly due too family circumstances and life in general I had too let the old Combi go. I'd still love to do my dream in a few years.

i had a std pd130 ibiza and snapped an engine mount also. Maybe they were underspec for the car... wish Id never sold it and put a map on the thing.

Oof, this would go well with my 300bhp V70 T5, I can feel torque without the fuel needle dropping faster than a ton of bricks

I've got the Golf 2.0 PD and always thought newer is better. You can get 240hp just with a bigger turbo as well. but I just love this car
Nice spec. I had. Cupra R pd160 with egr delete and offshelf map to 195bhp so basically the same spec as yours. Pulled so well!
