Actual new player here (yep i saw the fighter road) i made the numbers, to unlock just 1 character you need to get 15k Xp at a rate of 150 per Win Match (very important WIN match) so it makes it a nice 100 damn Win's just so i can unlock 1 character i don't even want to play and i can't even choose which fighter i unlock, now, the issue is, i want to use, learn and play Samurai JAck, hes one of my favorite cartoon characters, hes the Number 24 in the Road, so i have to Play And WIN 2400 games in a row assuming no one Toasts me to unlock him and thats the fastes way? nah man, im fine i will just wait until i get my 2nd controller and only play local game with my friens, at least there i can use the fucking character i want to use
With the fighter road I thought it would be a new game mode like mortal kombat towers and that at the end you could get the character quickly and easily, but now I see that I either pay to have raven or I fuck myself, because the experience to have a character is ridiculously little and the worst of all is that I miss unlocking taz in the past and I can't remove it to upload the experience for raven, it's the worst season of the game without a doubt
I have all but 1 character (Velma) and shes also 15k exp, but my wife plays with me and she only has a few characters. It requires WAY less exp for her to unlock someone. So I i think the exp scales based on how many characters you have? We've played a bunch and she's unlocked 2 (almost 3) fighters and I'm a little over halfway towards Velma haha I do agree the system is worse, saving fighter currency for the specific character you want feels better even if it ends up taking longer
The Xp Needed to unlock is reduced for the first characters once she gets Jake it goes all the way up to 15K (im new to the game too and that was my actual experience, i unlocked the first characters pretty fast, the banana, batman and then i choose jake the dog, now i nedd 15k for the next)
To put into perspective, You need 100 online wins in a row to get a character and all the other ways of getting a lot of fighter road xp are always available like events
Having to grind an huge amount of xp is already annoying(but not exactly unexpected) but not even having a choice of which character to unlocked is just ridiculous

However, then Raven comes out and she’s 6,000 F and last character in fighter road. I ain’t gonna get her anytime soon and an eternity for Marceline.😢
Jesus Christ i thought the grind was already freaking terrible but they somehow made it even worse. And they made fighter currency worthless now, you really couldn't have both options? This game really is dog shit.
Thank god I had enough fighter currency. I myself came back to this game only because Raven and speed boost to the game...a bit but again....RAVEN, if I hadn't got her I would have just uninstalled it back, especially after waiting 4-5 days to buy her without money
I had 48000 fighter currency and when Raven got there 4:24 0/15,000 I was confused and then i checked my fighter currency and was there so i decided buy in fighter store and it cost 6000. Why it didn't turn into automatic? What a joke
Honestly I think this is a better way to get characters? Look, think about this. The fidu currency was like slow, as hacked, like it just felt slow and I just felt like I was a grinding very slowly, for season 4, the fighter road is honestly not that bad, though. When I first looked at it, I was like, really like confused a little bit. I'm still a little bit confused, but I mean, I really wish you could like select the characters, hopefully, that's an option to unlock, but it's a lot to get used to, and hopefully it gets better Uber time like I will admit it's definitely as potential
nah man, having a free currency is a better option, just like in other fighter online games like Brawlhalla id rather have a slightly slower way to unlock but at least i can select what i want to unlock, but with this system i have to go throuh 24 levels of fighter road until i unlock the character tha i actually just want to play, im new to the game and when i realized this i will now only play local with my friends when they come over, i dont want to have to farm for days using characters i dont like using so i can finally play what i want
I unlocked Raven the same day she was available to purchase with fighter currency. So I don't see why it was hard for you. Ppl just want everything easy in life, especially free. Lol In Smash, you have to unlock all the characters in a specific order , minus the dlc characters. And you have to buy the game. This generation needs to stop complaining
Comparing apples to oranges. Takes significantly longer to unlock in multiversus. You have the chance to roll for other characters you want to get in ult. Also for new players they won’t unlock raven as fast as you. Stop blindly supporting slop and actually let people criticize the game so it gets better. The game has the audacity to think it’s good enough for most players to invest THAT much time or money into it. Gtfo

Theyve basically made it impossible for new players get the older character they want, I can genuinely see them walking this back eventually

Do Arena mode it takes a awhile but give alot of exp I got raven in 2hours(with the azarath boost)
I hate fighter road. I only need Taz now and it feels like it takes forever to unlock him.
