this is by far the most interesting video about recipes i saw. explaining your thought process for adjustments with examples as you did has been immensely useful. Thanks!

Just scored a Fujifilm X100 last week in Japan! Your videos are encouraging and inspirational, I am looking forward for more photography journeys with my X100 because of you 🔥 thank you!
I love that the settings you finally settled on are basically what I have my X100 set to! It's still such a capable camera after 12 years, and the jpegs straight out of the camera are terrific quality.
Couldn't agree more with the sentiments already expressed in the comments. By far the most interesting and helpful video about recipes. Taking us through real time why you made your changes helped me understand what you were looking for and how you chose to respond to things you were seeing. THANKS!
Excellent review of settings options on this classic camera. Caused me to pull mine from the shelf and do some experimenting. Also, I noticed the Purdue logo on your jacket. Hello from central Indiana. Go Boilers!

New to Fujifilm and just got a X-T5. What would the conversions be from the X100 to mine? Highlight/Shadow (Medium Hard), Color (High), Noise Reduction (Low), Sharpening (Medium Soft). Would you say WB is Auto? Stunning Recipe. Just wanting to match as much as possible.
Hey! I have loadsssss of other recipes for newer Fujifilm cameras on my website if you want to check them out. Not sure if you’d ever accurately be able to reproduce the colours from this X100 recipe but I would try… Shadow +2 Highlight +2 NR -4 Colour +3 Sharpness -2 Auto WB shifted to the warmer side
I saved all of your others haha! Absolutely stunning! This one caught my eye, and I instantly wanted to give it a go lol. Thank you so much for the reply! I’m gonna input it and see what we can do.
@@brockettmacAwww thanks. Means a lot. Yeah Astia is a funny one, quite hard to get right I find. I have a new Astia recipe coming soon actually. Keep an eye 👊

Хорошее видео, автор молодец! Спасибо за паттерн настроек на пасмурный день) У нас наоборот преимущественно солнечно. А камера вообще классная, правда у меня х100s.
I hadn't used my X100 for a while and was actually considering selling it for a newer Fujifilm that's faster with more resolution etc. But I had a feeling that I'd seriously regret it. These things take incredible photos I'm actually still shocked at how much detail it can capture for such an old machine. And there's something about the way it captures light, specifically light falloff, just has something about it. I think these things will be seriously hard to come by and very collectible in the future! Thanks for the great videos! A fellow Irishman living in NZ here.
It's always hard to find a solid video on recipes, especially one that goes through progressive changes with multiple examples at each step. I just learned quite a bit from listening to you and learning why you were changing the settings you were. Very excited to go plug this into my X100S and run around today! Thank you!
This was another great video! Very well shot and edited. But I especially appreciate you going thru the process of creating and tweaking a recipe, it was really interesting and helpful
Great video. I have a x100s and have been trying to replicate a classic chrome look. Looking online I've seen suggestions about shifting the white balance red and blue values but I cant find that option on my x100s settings. I assumed that it wasnt available on the older models but you make reference to it (2:34) so if its available on the x100 I should be able to access to it. How do you shift the red and blue values on the x100/ x100s. Thanks.
I have an X100S and this works: Press Down on the command dial to open the white balance menu. Scroll to AUTO or any other option and press OK. You'll see a grid that you can adjust up/down for blue and left/right for red, with a live preview. I usually use this when shooting indoors and if I feel that skin tones are coming out too green or walls are too yellow or whatever, then I just scan through the first list to find the one that looks the best and then fine tune with the red/blue shift.
After so long chasing (unsuccessfully) after an X100V and not wanting to pay hundreds more than list price USD, I ordered a original X100. Just a couple of days until it arrives! Thanks for the video.
