Diana just a teenager on top of that voice. Russia uses Cyrillic alphabet so it's impossible to phonetically pronounce words from their written language so don't feel bad. ВОРОНА sounds like 'Verona' in Cyrillic...It means crow 🐻🐻 Check out her cover of Wicked Game. It's dark, mysterious, folky, dramatic, shamanic, mesmerizing...just plain magical.

Greetings from Scotland! "Ворона" pronounced "Varona" and meaning "Crow" is a perfect song for Diana, that special voice adds a depth to the song which makes it sound new! Originally sang by a Russian singer called "Linda" back in 1996 when the future looked very bleak for nature and humankind. Diana is the "White Crow" here and she is harassed by the other crows mercilessly for being different!
The full video of this was not shown with the full shot of the ending for some reason. Diana is covered with a cloak of black feathers by the other crows, but with her final ferocious stare she kills the other Crows and throws off the cloak to be herself again - the "White Crow" again. In Russia to be called a "White Crow" is to be different from the mainstream and go your own way, with your own values - sort of like Diana herself! No Penalty, just an offer of assistance. The Russian (Cyrillic) lettering system does not correspond, in any way, with our Latin system. It doesn't work to try to use the Latin sounds that some Cyrillic letters resemble. For example: 'Ворона' is pronounced as: Varona. It translates to the English word: Crow.
It's true, I am biased. Personally, I don't understand any comparison of Diana with anyone else. I see her as being a unique artist and not as a copy of any other person.
