They should make secant filiments work on pheonix dive and it would be fair even though its a large heal/full heal, seeing as worm husk and alpha lupi work with their faster charge abilities they should allow secant too and the heal difference makes sense seeing as pheonix dive takes just under double the time it takes to get thruster back so the heal should be double as good so allowing to work with secant should be fair, also vesper should work with pheonix dive by just sending out a pulse or two from where you dived seeing as vesper and spirit of vesper especially just don't get used
@bannedmann4469 literally majority of the perks on the exotic bond are generally bad, so I agree they'll probably not do something until half the community is crying which won't happen unless they nerf the support side of warlock where hunters and titans can no longer have a crutch by their side in pve
Agree with vesper, disagree with secant at the current moment. If your class ability wasn’t already a heal I’d say absolutely. Even if it wasn’t such a strong heal and maybe just gave resto x1 I’d say yea decant should work with it. That isn’t the case though. You have so many heal options on warlock that it’s almost as annoying to fight against as how many instant freeze abilities you can shit out in quick succession.
@atillathehung2000 pheonix dive gives less hp than worm husk and not that much above a third of alpha lupi thruster heal which is crazy when you have to wait nearly double the time to get it back and it's supposed to be a heal ability which it seems like it's trying to be a movement ability but it's got the pause in the air and when you hit the ground along with needing to do it's dive to the ground which makes it a easy target to hit twice during the animation where as the other two abilities actually do movement so my argument here is this ability both has a way higher cooldown and doesn't really have movement so it makes sense for it to have the better heal when given an exotic perks buff, I'd say it's fair if you make secant replace the cure X2 (60hp heal) with devour rather than having them both which if you use feed the void you get a full heal anyway
@ idk where you’re getting twice as long from, but I do know that at tier 10 it takes about 30 seconds for Phoenix dive and 20 seconds for thruster. When I play warlock I always have Phoenix dive ready to go because tier 10 intellect is always in my builds. Then there’s the reductions with orbs and the weapon perk strategist that make it take even less time. If you aren’t getting Phoenix dive as often as you want it’s because of your build not anything else. You’re also making it sound useless when Phoenix dive is probably the second best PvP class ability in the game. Price heat rises and you get resto x2 and it does scorch damage. The restoration x2 alone is total more health than alpha lipid or wormhusk give. Also, alpha lupi gives 80 hp, wormhusk is 70, and phoenix dive gives cure x2 which is 60 hp. They aren’t that far off. The animation is slightly longer than dodge or thruster, but to that I say why are you just using it in the open to land somewhere in line of sight of the enemy? Maybe just don’t do that? Save it for a time when it’ll actually save you. All in all I think the most important thing is that it would make the most optimal long distance gun fighting build in the game way too powerful. Also, titan and hunter have to use their exotic slot just to get healing in the first place. Warlocks don’t so you’re free to do other things that work with your build and not worry as much about healing.
2:50 Grenade consumption for Feed the Void was removed because it conflicted with Chaos accelerant, something that also is activated via charged grenades. No two grenade or melee overrides can exist within the same subclass, so bungie replaced it with secant filaments. This is also why there is only 1 slide melee aspect present for Titan and Warlock on prismatic. Howl of the Storm and Consecration would conflict with each other since they share an ability to override. Furthermore, there is still an argument that devour is just as good if not better on warlock considering the aspect for it buffs the health and grenade regained upon activation, and any class can get devour on orb pickup with the fragment (which is as simple as using the Reaper mod, getting a double kill with a weapon, or following a super)
I think his confusion is more along the lines of "Why did we need to keep the charge-up animation for Chaos Accelerant?" I for one cannot stand that, outside of Strandlock: Mindspun and Voidlock: Accelerant, ever grenade-modifying aspect just modifies the grenade inately (i.e. Touch of [Element]). Mindspun makes sense bc its behavior isn't a charge up but a consume like Heat Rises and og Devour to gain an addition new effect. Regardless, shoulda left "Eating your nade" alone on void. Give Accelerant modifications to the grenade inately and made Supernova a damaging melee option
@ Ah, fair point. However, I think it might be too late to correct this, considering Feed the Void is in prismatic which has a grenade charge alt (stasis turrets) It would have to be removed from prismatic to work with stasis turrets. Or made a different aspect entirely
@giantslayer9335 thing with that is, for both heat rises+Heal turret and arc soul+stasis turret, we see that consuming a nade does not, in fact, cause issues with that particular combination. Upon nade consumption, the turret just flomps out regardless
TV, try this build with collective obligation. It reloads itself whenever devour is applied, aka after every kill when devour is active. They pair so well together in PvE and PvP
On a completely unrelated PvE topic, I've seen some pretty good Quiet One builds using Touch of Malice or Tommy's Matchbook. Takes away most of the consequences of damaging yourself.
Darn it I was hoping to keep the reworked MotQO a secret in PvP lol. In all seriousness, It's very good now after the rework and I'm glad you're profiling it. Also the reworked Eternal Warrior in PvE, along with roaming supers buff, is fun to use as well.
4:40 - 5:02 See that's why I have Helldivers 2 ready to go anytime I feel heated in PvP. Like last night, I know that me and my friends were winning the matches, but everybody and their mama was runnung the same stuff. High Impact Pulse Rifle, Shotgun, Hand Cannon Shotgun, Graviton Lance, it was infuriating. I threw insults as much as I possibly could.
