  • A symposium to honor the life and work of Professor Theodore "Ted" Madden, who died in November 2013 at age 88, was held March 14, 2014. The event brought together the Madden family; current EAPS faculty; former colleagues; and former students, and reflected the extraordinarily broad scope of Madden's research, which extended from Earth's core to the outer magnetosphere.

@@bigsisterreflections I am not familiar with those studies at all. My main interest reside in the Schumann resonances, electro-magnetics of the Earth, the attraction between the Sun and the Earth and how that effects the electro-magnetics, and then Schumann Resonance of the planet. These kinds of things, even if Schumann resonance as of other planets is interesting. I happen to know from studies years ago about the pyramids and the Ley lines and stuff like that, but I am still a little rusty on that subject matter.

@@schumannresonanceswithverte Perfect! ... We could use your assistance. There is a mystery at large involving a number of missing person cases - I believe the phenomena involved are related to your areas of interest. I'm not sure if you have come across what is referred to as "Missing 411" or not. The research effort on this subject is being led by a gentleman named David Paulides.
Dave is a retired detective who first became aware of the situation when it was brought to his attention by a couple park rangers. Every year there are thousands of missing person reports filed. Most of these people eventually turn up, whether it's teenagers running away from home or what have you. Out of the cases where a person is legitimately missing, a handful are very bizarre. Of these mysterious incidents, many occur at U.S. National Parks.
The disappearances in question are not being considered a crime or suspected to involve foul play of any sort. The cases remain unsolved and unexplained. When Dave began looking into these cases he noticed there were several common elements in the circumstances surrounding them. When Search & Rescue operations are conducted, the tracking dogs aren't able to get a scent on the person. Helicopter teams using lidar and infra-red imaging also aren't able to find anything. Often there will be a severe weather event immediately following the disappearance that impedes the search effort. Many times the person who went missing was with other people, but seemed to just vanish after being separated.
In many of these cases the person is never found. Sometimes a body is recovered, and in a very few cases the person is found alive. When a body is located it is usually in an area that had already been searched extensively many times. The location of the body typically seems to be problematic as well. There are cases involving very young children 2 or 3 years old who would have to have covered extremely long distances through difficult terrain or they are found at very high elevations - both of which don't make sense for a child that young. There is often missing articles of clothing, sometimes found several miles from the body. They appear to have taken their jacket off in brutally cold temperatures... Or they are missing their shoes, but have apparently been trekking through the wilderness - yet their socks are in pristine condition.
Now, you are probably wondering how this pertains to your fields of study... This is where it starts to get interesting. Most of the disappearances happen between 3:00 and 5:30 PM. The person is generally near a body of water and there is often boulder fields or rock outcroppings nearby - typically granite. When you start to get into the individual cases, some of the details are very peculiar. In one instance a report had come to a park to do an interview with the park director. A man had gone missing the previous day and the director was tied up coordinating the search and asked if he could push the interview back an hour. The reporter said it was fine and she went out to do some hiking for a bit during that hour. When she reached a point on the trail she heard someone calling for help, but she couldn't really make out which direction the voice was coming from. She searched all around the area but was never able to find anyone. When she returned she told the park director about it. The place on the trail she was at was the last place the man was seen before he went missing.
Dave had approached this research based on his detective background. He started plotting the cases on a map and noticed there were certain cluster zones, where the disappearances are concentrated. He also makes it a point to be as objective as possible. His main sources are police reports and news coverage, but he often will meet with the families of the missing people to verify the accounts and get any additional details. While he has several theories, he has never included them in his work. He just wants to present the facts and let people analyze the phenomena for themselves without any type of bias. He has written several books and has made a couple of documentaries on the subject. He also has a RUclips channel called the Can-Am Missing Project, which you should check out if you are at all intrigued by what I have described.
My theory is that under certain atmospheric conditions, the Schumann Resonance interacts with bodies of water and/or certain geological formations to produce a field that disrupts the mechanism that locks us into our current space and time. For lack of a real understand of what is occuring and the proper terminology for it - essentially it is functioning as a "portal" to another "dimension" of sorts. The environmental factors are causing the resonant frequency to become out of phase with our reality. People are getting caught in this field like it was a weather front moving along. It carries the people with it, much like wave in the ocean and deposits them back when it re-synchs. I realize this sounds strange, but does this seem remotely plausible?

I haven’t watched the video yet, but I can tell you in general that everything is frequency. You can affect a person’s mental state by depriving them of the Schumann resonance, and bees are negatively impacted by exposure to the electromagnetic frequencies of cell phone radiation. I suppose the hippies were onto something with all of the talk of good vibes, as woo as some of it can come off to most people, but with proper education on the matter it’s more so just common sense!
