And I appreciate this to the utmost degree
me as well...
Yup
bassackwards
haha- favorite Vile line ever.
🤣👍
"Once you stop bobbin' your head, you either cut that part out or you fix it somehow...If you want to keep jammin', you just keep jammin'." Rules to live by, man.
This stuck out most to me too and him saying he has to keep things candid...organic
Wise words for Monday Morning! So happy I watched this documentary
That porch version of Baby's Arms with the Sadies is incredible.
Kurt the type of guy to tell his own fans that his earlier stuff was “better”
exactly the dude is real and I love him for that
Maybe he likes the earlier stuff more, but personally I think he keeps getting better. He's one of the rare ones.
And it's weird that he keeps getting better because his first stuff was(is) so great
i thought he was talking about his earlier takes. like if he works on a song too long he still prefers the first versions
Our modern Neil Young❤️
Nice, Always a fan of Les Habitants! True blood Massachusetts Bruins fan , but you guys always played the game right. I'll forgive you for P.K.'s diving. Damn he would have looked good in Black and Gold!
I concur

Go Leafs! 😭😭😭😭🙈
@@asharpbflat7179 🤣🤣🤣
we lost rob yesterday, may he rest in peace, and forever live on through his music. 💔💔💔
Bassackwards on the porch in the pouring rain is devine ❤
These short documentaries are so dope! To the guys who put this together over at Matador - thanks a lot for doing it!
R.I.P. Dallas Good lead singer/guitarst of the Sadies. One of the Best live bands ever. Kurt knows.
Kurt on the porch singing with a guitar is one of the few people I would want to be nearby when they are... on a porch.... singing... with a guitar.
Kurt & the Sadies "in My Baby's Arms' = great stuff....
Strongly agree!!
Amazing performance!
This part gave me chills. Simply beautiful.
The only shitty thing about this Doc? Length. I would gladly sit and watch an hour and a half of this. So great. Thanks!
such an epic guy, one of the most unique sounds. i can listen to the same albums of his over and over and always find something new to appreciate in the music every time i listen.
This should be way longer. Full length movie please
THANK YOU KURT VILE. THANK YOU FROM DEEP INSIDE MYSELF.
KV embodies what I appreciate about about alternative music. He is real, fallible, and honest. I would watch additional hours of this content over nearly everything else that’s being produced in this genre...
Love the “chucking” strum he’s using for bassackwards. Used to be turned off by the PA “philly” accent, think Kurt’s reminded me its unique and beautiful in its own way and I love the way he shapes words
What a beautiful place to make music! and what a nice musician Kurt Vile is to watch. His awkwardness is one of the purest forms of how sincere he is as a person. And the shot of the rain while kurt sings acoustic is one of my favorite moments
Anouk you’ve been fooled
yes.
Explain
@@macaroon147 reply probably gonna be some some jaded comment about how even the "real" people and their perceived humbleness is manufactured and we're all to stupid to see it.
That version of baby's arms is one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard....
Been round long enough to know that KV is the real deal - no doubt.
This just made my week. An otherwise dull and dreary Thursday has been made much brighter
hello
@@salmonbomb hello ZACK
Never ending love for KV... you sir, you get it.
i love you kurt
Awesome doco , Kurt writes awesome melody hooks , it’s great to hear his opinion on things he seems really grounded. Like he won the bingo of the alternate music industry.
@Daniel D look at me, I'm daniel d my opinion is stupid and no one cares
@Daniel D then you do it, maybe I'll give your opinion half a consideration then
I have no idead what I am watching.
But that song ten minutes in was just as pure as i would imagine things sounded back in the day.
What day? I know not, ill know never.
I know it happened.
WE LOVE KURT VILE & THE VIOLATORS !! + everyone involved in this!
The rain on the porch sure was an amazing addition to this sick video
That was a dope trippy space beat for the outtro.
Kurt & Violators .... Slayed It! Love this stuff. This is a part of what really makes life worth living. Thank you! 🎸👍🎸
Saw him at Primavera Sound and it was just amazing. Currently my favourite musician
“Got a good handful, like maybe 5 songs that are passable”
Coulda fooled me, they all straight bangers! I absolutely love you Kurt. Air bud is my all time favourite, I swear it will raise me from the dead some day.
Great ! This guy gives hope not only to the record industry but to the world in general.
No one will ever be as cool as Kurt Vile hunched over his guitar like that, fucking awe inspiring
How did I just find this? So good and much appreciated during this insane time.
I like the album, the concert was epic in length. The violators played for about 3 hours
3 hours!? Like just jam or played 3 hours worth of songs?
@@johnedward8352 let's just say nearly every song became an extended 15 minute jam.
@@mmonkeyman1403 3 hours is long but I'm sure it was a memorable show. I saw the dead play for about 3 hours once and all I remember is how bad I had to go to the bathroom.
Thanks for giving us this window into your life Kurt ❤️
This is beautiful, son. oxox
I'm in Wales, uk. I wish that one day i could come over to the States to see him live. Best wishes, jean
@@jeandada3654 he comes to Bristol, UK. Keep an eye out on his tours :)

Greetings from the sout side of Chicago, thanks K.V
Makes me cry each time
Back in the 80s, I had a Matador Records t-shirt. Wish I still did.
Beautifully captured
Fantastic, pure miracle, beautiful video, unbeatable Kurt ❤️ Thank U Full length movie please!!!
The way he creates his music, he really is a true artist.. and that house is freakin spectacular!!
Was looking forward to this since I heard a few days it was coming out! Wish it was 10 hours longer :D Great Job!
At 10 hours and 21 minutes that wouldn’t be a documentary, it would be a lifestyle.
Great stuff. Can we get an isolated clip of that porch set in the rain? I'll be listening to that a lot over the next couple seasons.
There’s one on the tube. Search Kurt vile & the Sadies
Super music and what a beautiful place. The music fits the location. Kurt Vile is so cool and down to earth.
nothing but love for this gentleman
amazing. Everything.
Thanks for making me late for work, KV ❣️
much love, much respect
Great versions of the songs! Great creative improv spirit! This was an interesting mix of very good music, sound, video and chat. It's Kurt! Good taste too in this smooth intimate filming. It made me feel like... creative... cozy... and at home :-) Thanks!
I get sick of just about everyone and I hide in Kurt Vile's arms.
Amazing stuff Kurt and company.
Rest in peace, Dallas.
Thank you
LOVE IT!!!
Its so inspiring to see someone whose not doing anything that complicated on the guitar and yet writing such great songs.
sweet vibes. loved it
Great piece of film.
That outro is fantastic
Man this is just pure & from the heart.
Raw music at its best. Never change you Vile beast 🤘
@matador encouraging to see a major generating this sort of genuine content
Man.. I wished I could hang out with you guys... I would be so happy and make cookies and smile a lot.. The vibe coming from you guys is super beautiful just like the music is super beautiful.. It trips me out how much of the day I spend listening to your stuff.. Super rare and super special...❤
Only wish it was longer!
What an amazing doc

When I grow up I wanna be like Kurt Vile
Going to a concert with my dad and sister June 8th, can't wait!
Luv this! Kurt is such a unique guy!
14:14 (and other wide shots or pushes) feels like I'm watching a kubrick film
I dig this dude so much.
This is so good
ummm so this was glorious and i love u kv
Nice edit guys
Sometimes this synthwave producer returns to the indie roots and enjoy the best content and audio. Kurt Vile will forever be a favourite of mine. Babies arms inspired the feel to my ”Dream Drive” tune.
Nice film with great tunes 😀
Enjoyed seeing Bob Fossil on drums
an upstate NY jam session? just need a campfire, a few pops, nd these crazy talented dudes = all is right with the world again. gorgeous stuff guys. great vid guys and a neat look into the creative process of some of the great artists of our time. cool shit.
