Honestly, I'm willing to give Daima a chance. While yeah, the kid aspect reminds me a lot of GT. The visuals and animation are pleasant enough to warrant my attention. Yeah, it may not be Supers 2, or more adaptation of the manga. But for all we know, it could be a diamond in the rough. Until we get more information, or until it comes out, I'm not gonna be harsh with it.

Before the reveal it sounded a lot like GT's kid aspect, but this seems to be done in a more tasteful manner because EVERYONE has been made younger and it seems like they're weaker as well. Production wise it looks beautiful and has a great production team behind it, and just looks fun based off the trailer. So I'm excited for it now, before the trailer I wasn't because I hated Goku being made a kid while everyone else was fine in GT. However, this time it seems to have been done with intent by the main antagonist, and everyone is younger which allows all the characters to feel like they have personal investment in what's happened to them. Also Supreme Kai having a part in the arc is actually kind of cool, because he hasn't done anything for the longest time.
It honestly looks a lot better than I expected. The stakes still seem high, the animation is incredible, and it just looks like a lot of fun. The only connective tissue with GT is the fact that there's a wish that turns a character(s) into kids. Goku's seems a lot more nerfed than GT though which is why he needs Nyoibou again. I'm really excited and can't wait to see more!!!

I honestly would have loved a “kryptonite” approach, have Goku and Vegeta in an environment where super sayian and above is not accesibile, have them base fight and hone techniques, hone their martial arts and then at the end have them break out and power up with the honed base state!
Having ALL the characters turn into kids could be great in my opinion, imagine the interactions they could have if they do it right, like Videl seeing what Gohan looked like during the Namek or Cell Saga, or Goku making fun of a kid Vegeta, just small things like that could make this pretty fun.

Daima really doesn't interest me that much. I'll maybe try the first few episodes just to see what it's like, but if it doesn't hook me then I'll just drop it and go back to waiting for the Super anime to come back and adapt the Moro arc.

I do like the idea of the show and how it looks. But i cant help but feel like its definately going to pander towards a younger audience. Like more for the newer younger fans and not for the older nolstagic fans. But there will be elements of nolstagia for us for example power pole. Even though theyre all kids i still think it will focus more on Goku and supreme kai and vegeta is going to stay with everyone else.
The trailer does hint at more lore on the Super Dragon Balls and possibly Zalama. Some people think they're gonna re-retcon that Namekians are Demons which is why they exist outside of the 12 universes.
Well Tbf, Dbs did the same thing, that's why there's no blood and they dumb down the characters, but Dbs still end up being one of the best growing animes of all time. Gaming dragon ball is currently in a state over the past 3 years where we only had kakarot and we are just getting recycled stuff like a game xenoverse 2 that refuses to die and continue the legacy with the next xenoverse,fighterz whicg aged badly but not as bad as xenoverse and the only decent one is kakarot which is an open world,powering up charachters,beating the story but never touching again because lacks online and the dlcs last only that much. Dragon ball fans who wanna keep their integrity are starving,bs fanboys plays gotchas and xenoverse leading for the devs to milk those mid games

If this series being used as a reset, I would like to see Goku and Vegeta take different paths going forward. Both of them getting different transformations, instead of them sharing the same transformation.
The leaks made me raise an eyebrow when I first heard them but I was still cautiously optimistic. Now after seeing the trailer I can honestly say that I'm looking forward to it. It just looks like something that has a lot of charm and I love that it's focusing more on that sense of adventure. Which for something that's celebrating Dragon Ball's 40 anniversary, it makes sense to go back and try to recapture that magic.
Alot of people(me included) wanted super season 2. It’d make sense considering how much they have to adapt from the manga. But from the first trailer so far, it LOOKS really good. The animation is so fluid, its just the concept that’s throwing people off. We’ve had goku as a kid in og db, and gt, so having another show where he is a kid again isn’t really all that exciting. Then again, seeing goku in action with the power pole is something I’ve missed. Plus with the whole cast being a kid(rip trunks and goten lmao) we’re probably going to get some good funny moments from this. Toriyama seems to be excited for this, so for now ill stay skeptical but willing to give it a chance.
I don't think kid vegita was stronger than kid Supreme kai, the Supreme Kais where strong as fuck. One was beating up kid buu until he snuck an absorption. The fat Supreme kai that made buu fat beat the shit out of Moro who was beating goku and vegita. Just saiyan. Other than him yeah vegita is probably the strongest, unless 18 is still an android than she's probably stronger.
Me personally, from the trailer I gotta say the animation is absolutely beautiful. Every part of it was beautiful. But the fact they are kids again I don't like. It looks amazing art-wise, but story-wise, it's not what I wanted personally. I will very likely watch it and give it a chance. In my opinion, though, it feels like they are going backward in story progression, and the series could possibly just be a cash grab for new toys and merch without having to be creative or really make anything new. I hope that isn't the case, though.
Power scaling was getting too high, needed a way to make DragonBall fun without adding more random Powerhouses to deal with. But I was a fan of GT so looking forward to it!

DBZ is what sparked my interest in anime and manga. It'll always be my favorite, and it's why I'm still reading Shonen Jump and watching new shows seasonally 30 years later. But I have zero interest in Dragon Ball Babies and Toriyama's involvement is not a selling point for me. Him going back to the well has honestly been the worst thing for this franchise, because it has become the Star Wars of anime: an endless churn of disposable mid-tier content to keep fans suckling that Toei corporate teat. (People talk shit about the MCU, but SW has been doing this since the 70s, long before Disney bought it - but I digress.) Toriyama's post-DB material like Sand Land is way more exciting to me now. What I really want out of Dragon Ball is a reboot: a 100% faithful adaptation of the manga, with modern quality animation, and an entirely new cast. God bless Masako Nozawa, I'll be happy to hear her again if they keep making the occasional good movie with the legacy cast, like Super Hero, but forcing an almost 90yo woman to squeak out a Kid Goku again feels cruel.
This is honestly the dumbest decision they could have made, Literally trunks and Goten are waiting patiently but then EVERYONE IS A KID omg. They have been putting loyal fans on the back burner for years, The only saving grace we had in the anime was the Trunks arc and TOP arc (When the show actually took itself seriously) Now we're getting more kid friendly features, I'll take a hard pass.

if its a web series usually those are short , Pokemon web series usually are only 4 or 5 episodes , however since its Dragon Ball think it will be more than that . Someone said 20 episodes but idk where they read that , since its supposed to be a short series i could see being around that .
I'm so happy there not following the recent manga because that was the same story again. Bad guy shows up Goku and Vegeta fight and lose then train come back and beat bad guy....... This looks refreshing and new and not the same crap we've seen for about 15-20 yrs. I'm so excited!! I have full confidence this will be fun new and entertaining plus the animation looks crazy good. Also I've been watching DB since 1995 so maybe long time fans will appreciate this more.
It's beautiful animation and I want to see the fights because I bet there are going to be some Stellar fucking battles but I just can't help but feel like this is just more disappointment and because we're all drooling at the mouth for extra and more dragon ball content we keep giving all the junk they drop all the attention and money and so they just keep giving us whatever they think of because we gobble up ALL THE DRAGON BALL CONTENT. I think they only look at numbers for feedback and we always pay up.

Before the reveal it sounded a lot like GT's kid aspect, but this seems to be done in a more tasteful manner because EVERYONE has been made younger and it seems like they're weaker as well. Production wise it looks beautiful and has a great production team behind it, and just looks fun based off the trailer. So I'm excited for it now, before the trailer I wasn't because I hated Goku being made a kid while everyone else was fine in GT. However, this time it seems to have been done with intent by the main antagonist, and everyone is younger which allows all the characters to feel like they have personal investment in what's happened to them. Also Supreme Kai having a part in the arc is actually kind of cool, because he hasn't done anything for the longest time.
It honestly looks a lot better than I expected. The stakes still seem high, the animation is incredible, and it just looks like a lot of fun. The only connective tissue with GT is the fact that there's a wish that turns a character(s) into kids. Goku's seems a lot more nerfed than GT though which is why he needs Nyoibou again. I'm really excited and can't wait to see more!!!

I do like the idea of the show and how it looks. But i cant help but feel like its definately going to pander towards a younger audience. Like more for the newer younger fans and not for the older nolstagic fans. But there will be elements of nolstagia for us for example power pole. Even though theyre all kids i still think it will focus more on Goku and supreme kai and vegeta is going to stay with everyone else.
The trailer does hint at more lore on the Super Dragon Balls and possibly Zalama. Some people think they're gonna re-retcon that Namekians are Demons which is why they exist outside of the 12 universes.

Well Tbf, Dbs did the same thing, that's why there's no blood and they dumb down the characters, but Dbs still end up being one of the best growing animes of all time. Gaming dragon ball is currently in a state over the past 3 years where we only had kakarot and we are just getting recycled stuff like a game xenoverse 2 that refuses to die and continue the legacy with the next xenoverse,fighterz whicg aged badly but not as bad as xenoverse and the only decent one is kakarot which is an open world,powering up charachters,beating the story but never touching again because lacks online and the dlcs last only that much.

The Truth About The NEW Dragon Ball Series: Where is DBS 2 and what is this trash of Daima
The leaks made me raise an eyebrow when I first heard them but I was still cautiously optimistic. Now after seeing the trailer I can honestly say that I'm looking forward to it. It just looks like something that has a lot of charm and I love that it's focusing more on that sense of adventure. Which for something that's celebrating Dragon Ball's 40 anniversary, it makes sense to go back and try to recapture that magic.
Alot of people(me included) wanted super season 2. It’d make sense considering how much they have to adapt from the manga. But from the first trailer so far, it LOOKS really good. The animation is so fluid, its just the concept that’s throwing people off. We’ve had goku as a kid in og db, and gt, so having another show where he is a kid again isn’t really all that exciting. Then again, seeing goku in action with the power pole is something I’ve missed. Plus with the whole cast being a kid(rip trunks and goten lmao) we’re probably going to get some good funny moments from this. Toriyama seems to be excited for this, so for now ill stay skeptical but willing to give it a chance.
But what even point everyone being a child what is story behind it.

It looks amazing art-wise, but story-wise, it's not what I wanted personally. I will very likely watch it and give it a chance. In my opinion, though, it feels like they are going backward in story progression, and the series could possibly just be a cash grab for new toys and merch without having to be creative or really make anything new. I hope that isn't the case, though.

Seeing the release live I genuinely was surprised and interested in seeing what daima has to offer. Plus the content the show will bring is going to help other form of dragon ball mediums get more content as well. They did mention that they will have more news about it on battle hour so I will till then.

DBZ is what sparked my interest in anime and manga. It'll always be my favorite, and it's why I'm still reading Shonen Jump and watching new shows seasonally 30 years later. But I have zero interest in Dragon Ball Babies and Toriyama's involvement is not a selling point for me. Him going back to the well has honestly been the worst thing for this franchise, because it has become the Star Wars of anime: an endless churn of disposable mid-tier content to keep fans suckling that Toei corporate teat. (People talk shit about the MCU, but SW has been doing this since the 70s, long before Disney bought it - but I digress.) Toriyama's post-DB material like Sand Land is way more exciting to me now. What I really want out of Dragon Ball is a reboot: a 100% faithful adaptation of the manga, with modern quality animation, and an entirely new cast. God bless Masako Nozawa, I'll be happy to hear her again if they keep making the occasional good movie with the legacy cast, like Super Hero, but forcing an almost 90yo woman to squeak out a Kid Goku again feels cruel.
This is honestly the dumbest decision they could have made, Literally trunks and Goten are waiting patiently but then EVERYONE IS A KID omg. if its a web series usually those are short , Pokemon web series usually are only 4 or 5 episodes , however since its Dragon Ball think it will be more than that . Someone said 20 episodes but idk where they read that , since its supposed to be a short series i could see being around that .

This looks refreshing and new and not the same crap we've seen for about 15-20 yrs. I'm so excited!! I have full confidence this will be fun new and entertaining plus the animation looks crazy good. Also I've been watching DB since 1995 so maybe long time fans will appreciate this more.
It's beautiful animation and I want to see the fights because I bet there are going to be some Stellar fucking battles but I just can't help but feel like this is just more disappointment and because we're all drooling at the mouth for extra and more dragon ball content we keep giving all the junk they drop all the attention and money and so they just keep giving us whatever they think of because we gobble up ALL THE DRAGON BALL CONTENT.
