The more and more progressive and talented artists we see, the more soul we seem to loose. These aren't songs. They are expressions of talent. That's it. There is no groove, or anything of interest to the listener. Unless the listener themselves understands just how difficult these licks are. Difficult yes. Interesting to the ear? Hell no. I've heard more interesting pop music ffs.
