I got to meet Jacob and the guys at their last Chicago show...gifted him a mini bust of the Venom Marvel Comics character :). He was such an awesome dude to talk to and was such a monster at the show...not only were his chops and sound so ridiculously on point but he really got the crowd going! He's definitely deserving of this awesome bass. Congrats!
So Cool!! I think Jacob is one of those once in a generation talents. I'm super excited for this model and for Jacob. Congrats to Jacob and Dingwall on this. I have an NG-3 I love, I think this might have to be the next one I get.
Very cool!! My ABZ also has FDV pickups and a Darkglass preamp. I’ve loved Jacob’s tone for ages and had no idea we had incredibly similar basses until now. 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Great player , glad he’s getting a signature. Just a partnership made in heaven for both it seems. I have a D-rock and it’s amazing. Can only imagine how good the Canadian ones are.
My guess is imported. But if you're in another country other than Canada and China (I think), technically all the Dingwalls are imported. That's what I told myself when I bought the Combustion. I was able to fool myself.
Yes, it is quite easy to get into anything if you are handed it for free. But I bet the countless hours of practice he put in to reach a skill level where he would be considered "signature artist" material were neither free nor easy.
@@andrewneehall5664 I understand that and my intention was not judge his skills. Music business is weird, if someone is good at doing his job he/she gets rewarded by good "tools" which he/she usually get to own. If someone is for example a very good mechanic, it is very very rare that one gets to have 15000$ toolset to own.🤷🏻♂️
@@Ancient_Iron Keep saving, and keep an eye out for a used Combustion or NG. It's definitely worth it! At around $2,200 USD new you would have to save $6 per day for 1 year, or $3 for 2 years, less if you get one used. Not meaning to trivialize it, I know money is really tight for a lot of folks right now. Not sure what country you are from, but in Canada and the USA some people spend more than $3 per day on coffee, cigarettes, or alcohol. If you have an expense like that you can cut out you'll have a Dingwall before you know it :)
When will it be available? 😅

it was so amazing meeting both Jacob and Sheldon at sweetwater and also getting a chance to play Jacob's bass, cant wait for this to drop!!!
It was really nice to meet you
Will your signature prototype be available in a 5 string version? :D

incredible player, and equally incredible basses
"As of now its one of a kind but that will not be the case for long"
Good lord

That's cool man, it's honestly about time we get some other variety in the more obtanium price points BESIDES the NG / Combustion, bass looks rad!!
Jacob is the reason I own a dingwall today! I have a couple of NG's and I'm planning on picking up a signature when they finally come out.
I figured out why the knobs are moved on the signature prototype just now 😆
When can we finally hear about this new standard series?
I would buy that signature bass in a heartbeat.
Wow nice collection!!
Jacob has that Charlie Cox (Daredevil) "look right past you" stare.
Sheldon is a Legend!
Question is. Is it gonna be a signature imported version or Canadian? Similar price point as the NG?

Right now, this is a prototype, and we will announce the final specifications soon.
Shut up and take my money! (if I have enough *fingers crossed)
Jacob's a legend, would love to get a Dingwall one day
I guess I'll start doing a bunch of work around the house in hopes to minimize how many times she punches me after I buy this bass.
😆

Wow, like he didn’t earn it nah?
@@jobelewis6416 Well... You didn't get my point. There are many of us who would love to own a Dingwall bass. But they are simply out of our reach...😔
