- On January 24, 2024, we officially inaugurated the second phase of Lucid AMP-1, our state-of-the-art electric vehicle manufacturing facility in Casa Grande, Arizona. One of only a few highly integrated EV facilities in the U.S., AMP-1 has been the home for the groundbreaking Lucid Air sedan since its opening in 2021.
These major upgrades at Lucid AMP-1 help deliver advances in our operational efficiency and greater flexibility for the future when the Air is joined by the Lucid Gravity, our highly-anticipated electric SUV. With an expanded footprint that now covers more than 3.85 million square feet, Lucid AMP-1 reflects Lucid’s growth and continuing commitment to Casa Grande, Pinal County, and the state of Arizona.

I've been watching this plant be built for the last year after moving to the area. I must say, this is pretty impressive. I had to put my money where my mouth is.
Lucid amp is amazing and fascinating.
But the share price is bad..

@tonyj6620 they're laying down the foundation first. Everything is lining up perfectly. Other manufacturers will jump on board. As a r right now agreements are being signed. Do some research on what the p I f is purchasing you'll be surprised. They won the 2030 expo to host and the bid for the 2034 World Cup. That will help build out their infrastructure and speed up everything because now they're on a time frame.

This car is really growing into my interest "so strongly that I am shocked by it" and it is not strange when you see what it can, gives and what you get! If I had the money for this car, I would have shown it when I drive to Spain from Sweden, twice a year with countries I drive through are Denmark, Germany, France, until I get to the Spanish sun coast. Since I have an ear for languages (I learn to speak other languages easily) I will not be able to keep quiet about this car!

An affordable, sane, Lucid engineered truck would immediately be at the top of my list. I know it will be too expensive to be worth it for some time.

Gravity SUV is great and should be good mover of demand, but realistically, the cost and pricing adjustment could improve more in order to push the demand and sales volume. Free cash flow improvement and equity growth long term compounding.
Let's get down to business:
The only EV car I would invest due to its design, quality and strong asset over liabilities currently. In a fundamental sense, is pretty negative as sales volume is low P/S 11.12, operating margin -468.89%, return on equity -61.48% and decreasing free cash flow every year is also a warning sign. Also, the short selling % is high in about 21.60% around Feb. The book value is about $2.11, as its liquidation price, as it is still at turnaround situation in early stage. Qualitative wise, the PIF (Saudi Gov) is backing them with both capital investment, manufacture / sales push, and Saudi orders for 100k over 10 years, as well as its nice design and functions of high tech utility of its car. I actually don't think is funding issue, is more about demand and sales volume issues, utilization and efficiency usage of free cash flow and equity more than raising more capitals. As the cost model of the car need price adjustment to boost sale volume and efficiency that can push the demand better. Fundamentally, if they can improve its free cash flow, and sale volume with positive profit margin (Make more lower cost EV with quality that can sells and push the demand), the stock would have chances to compete with Tesla, and rise up long term.

Peter: As you build your new expansion, try using a concrete lawn roller to apply the waterproofing membrane on the roof. It will save the many hours [& cost] of labour - you only need ONE bloke as opposed to 20 or so running around like blue arsed flies with weighted buckets etc as Tesla was doing until I pointed out to Elon that a lawn roller would be far more efficient and which was subsequently implemented to great effect. To be able to take what is normally used for bowling greens, cricket pitches, and sports grounds maintenance and apply it to a completely different use is, well, lateral thinking is a wonderful thing. 😊

People keep comparing Lucid to Tesla, but they forget that Tesla had a huge advantage of not having any competitor. Lucid is in the right direction in terms of quality - slow and steady, but they should've started with the budget version and then go up to more expensive models.

I wish Lucid could pivit,Lucid can build a space oriented compact SUV,with roughly 180bhp,0-60 in 5sec with a limited 150mph top speed and a 300mile rage for $25000,if any company can,I believe its Lucid,this would really shake up the EV market expecially in the USA n open them up to other markets bigtime,the Saudi backing isnt enough,competeing with Tesla is hurting u more than helping u,all these people singing ur praises when presented with either a Luvid Air or A Tesla Plaid theyd pick a Tesla,go into the market gap they arent in n hit them hard,thats the only way,bring back buttons in the cabin,a manual handbrake,let people hear the motor,let the driver engage as much as possible with the car,focus on what Tesla isnt,tech is good but like any other gadget,people get bored quickly with new tech,get them with the experience

So far, Peter has worked to make money for the short sellers. Peter should change to CEO for shareholders. If shareholders do well, they become a successful company. A company that only makes money from the CEO ends up going bankrupt.

Why quadruple the size of the plant when they aren't selling that many cars and the stock has fallen into the "Penney stock" territory? Even if the PIF pours more money into Lucid, it would only dilute the shares even more... Great company and technology, POOR leadership and money management!
