    Thank you for posting these vids. I have learned more about the Ford rear in these vids than what I have dealt with or read in my lifetime. Also learned that if I need any help with the SVO rear, I need to throw a GEARHEAD704 T shirt on and call you over to help. lol

    • @GearHead704

      Man you are welcome any time! I hope this can help some people, but the big thing was how much I've learned about mechanics.

    Get that thing together already!
    Kidding man! Nice job! Rebuilding a rear end does take time and you definitely want it done right!

    • @GearHead704
      @GearHead704  4 года назад +1

      Actually, I think you're right! I want it done so bad, but only getting to work on it once a week and then going slow because of filming and not having ever done this before is just really taking its toll on timing. I'm so ready for it to already be done, LOL

    You are becoming a true gear head more and more every day. I think you're probably at gear head status at this point. After all if the shoe(size 18) fits, wear it. LOL

    Watching this makes me think how a shop will cut corners to save time on a rear end job... yikes! Great job btw

    • @GearHead704
      @GearHead704  4 года назад

      It's certainly taking a while but that mainly because of how much time I can dedicate to it. I appreciate the positive comments.

    • @alecgriswold6440
      @alecgriswold6440 4 года назад

      @Crafty MotherFuker I'm talking in a general sense here. I know there are many reputable shops in all places throughout our country. But, someone will always come across a garage that cuts corners to make a long tedious job speedy and highly profitable. Rear ends take time and and effort. Trial and error, things I don't believe every shop puts into their work.

    On your next ring removal, after all bolts are removed thread 4 of them in 2 or 3 turns and strike the bolt in a cross pattern to loosen! With them threaded in it keeps the ring from crashing down on the work bench, and you can sell with no damage!

      GearHead704 i used them on my stock convertible when rebuilding the rearend. Carbon fiber clutch disc came on the 03-04 cobras. Ford Performance LMR # M4700C
