Hi thanks for this request. I currently receive a lot of requests and I am working through them as fast as I can. It takes me roughly 10 hours of work per video so it might be a while before I get to this one but will do my best.
@@1stClassMaths Mate I really appreciate you making these videos. In one day I managed to watch all of your grade 6-9 videos and master everything. (I usually get 9s in math but because of the back to back exams I didn't have much time) I then went into the exam feeling confident and managed to answer every question thanks to my knowledge. Thanks a lot, you saved my grade.
I was going through this topic the other day and I did well enough that I did some questions in a CGP Targeted Grade 9 workbook for Proof. One of the questions though really stumped me and the mark scheme didn't really explain the answer well. The question was: If a and b are both odd, prove that (a+b)^40 is even Could you explain how you would do this question? I'm trying to aim for a 7+ so I want to be comfortable with similar questions like this.
If a and b are odd then a+b is odd + odd which is even. Then we have even ^ 40 which means even x even x even x even x even x even x even x even x even x even x even x even x even x even x even x even x even x even x even x even x even x even x even x even x even x even x even x even x even x even x even x even x even x even x even x even x even x even x even x even, which is even.

@@1stClassMaths makes so much more sense now, the mark scheme over complicated it and it made no sense to me.
Thanks!
Superb mate
I got a recommendation after you show one example give us a question and tell us to pause the video and try it then give answer
I don't like to tell people what to do :)
If anyone wants to pause they are welcome to :D
@@1stClassMaths I can understand 👍
also what is the hardest proof question we can possibly get on gcse level
I can't find the manipulation link

Do you think you can make a video on finding the midpoint of a line?

is this paper 2?
It could be
at prrof 15 and 16 you used complete the square, how do you know when you need to use it?
Usually when they ask you to show something is always positive or always negative.
