I do agree with you, however threats are not protected speech. Additionally, these colleges are private, and although they should be a bastion of free speech and a marketplace of ideas, they are also responsible to make sure all students are safe, or permitted on campus if they don’t threaten others.

Most good jobs don't need a high college education except for being required by the government to have a license and have proof of your education. If you are interested in some subject, you can educate yourself. I educate myself everyday. I am 70 years old and I am still teaching myself how to do different things. I have been teaching myself at least the basics of medicine, science, politics, etc.
