With VLite VT2 system installed in compatible Lexus and Toyota you will get CarPlay® and Android Auto® seamlessly integrated into your factory stereo system. The CarPlay® and Android Auto® will integrate with your factory sound, car stereo and steering wheel controls, and the touchscreen.
In addition you will be able to keep all important original car stereo functions such as FM radio, factory backup camera, climate controls.

Can I just go with the vlite and assume it won't interrupt my current LX backup camera and should I plan on removing the current after market bluetooth system(it's probably Grom too)?
Yes you can go with the VLite VT2, and it will not affect your current factory backup camera.
However, if you have the aftermarket camera, you might need the VAUX RCA cable and will need to use the VLine VL2 instead.
You will need to disconnect aftermarket Bluetooth, even if it is GROM.
is there any carplay performance difference between the VT2 and the VL2? Or does the VL2 just have extra features?
There are no any differences in CarPlay performance between the VT2 and VL2. The VL2 has extra options for stand-alone Android, HDMI-In and out, and the aftermarket camera integration.
Do the steering wheel controls still work?

When using/accessing the climate control system, does the radio/music function get interrupted or does the music continue playing?
The music continues to play, there is no interruption.

With the VLine V2 Lite, does the call functionality work with CarPlay?
Yes the call function works for CarPlay with VLite VT2 system.
Can you still access OEM features like the trip info, maintenance info, and climate control?
Yes you can, VLite VT2 system does not disable any factory features such as trip info, maintenance info, and climate controls.
