In this video, we show the installation of the VLine VL2 system into Toyota Prius 2006 2007 2008 2009 for wireless CarPlay and Android Auto integration.
The stereo must have factory navigation to be compatible with the GROM VLine VL2 system LEX5VL2.

Once VLine VL2 is installed into the Toyota Prius 2006-2009 vehicle, the user can enjoy modern features such as CarPlay, Android Auto, and a fully functional Android interface directly on the factory car stereo screen without replacing the factory screen.

I already have and installed in my prius
2 questions
1) Can I strip my existing mic and use ptaps as directed to use OEM factory mic?
2) Factory reverse camera defaults to blank screen when selecting Drive gear. Pressing Audio gets me back into Vline menu however is there a way I can resolve permanently so it goes back to Vline menu automatically

1. Yes you can use the OEM factory mic. You will need the WLEX5MIC microphone retention cable wire, available here:

2. The factory reverse defaults were addressed with the latest firmware updates. We recommend you check and apply available firmware and software updates for your system. Here is how to:

Update: 08/23 So I found the solution to my issue when the screen doesn't go back to Vline after reversing. I'm sharing this in the comments in case anyone has the same issue I had.
Make sure to press the destination button (dest) after using the energy monitor otherwise the screen won't go back to Android auto after reversing.

Will this work for a Prius that does not have the navigation inside of it? Have a base model Prius.
Unfortunately, for 2006-2009 the stereo must have factory navigation to be compatible with GROM VLine VL2 or VLite VT2 system.
Okay so I've been having this issue where every time I make a sharp turn or when I reverse and put the car in drive the car switches from the v-line to the energy monitor on my 2006 Prius. I was wondering is that a normal occurrence or do I need to troubleshoot the connection?

So I got the Vline Vlite recently. Will it still work without the GPS antenna? Because I didn't buy it and I'm only going to be using android auto.
For Android Auto you do not need GPS antenna as all processing goes through the smartphone. However, GPS antenna will enhance the GPS signal and help to preserve the smartphone's battery. So we recommend getting it. It is not necessary for Android Auto, but recommended.
