    Another awesome video! Thank you! I don’t have time to try this right now but hopefully I will in the next couple weeks. I really appreciate you breaking down the steps and demonstrating how to assemble the pattern.

    Thank you. Your tips encouraged me to try this outfit again. I had to sew the waistband on by hand first time because I could not get it over my Brother machine free arm. I must have done something wrong since your outfit slipped over free arm.

    Great job! I will try the pattern myself, and your video will be of help. Thank you!

    Nice video! I made this with a woven fabric and I also thought the straps and bust area was WAY too loose. I think the romper overall is just a really bad fit for Smart Dolls? It's weird because it's actually meant for them. If I made it again, I would redraft the bust area with a dart or just smaller overall. Yours still turned out really cute tho!

    Good job! I made this too. I struggled choosing the best sequence of section assembly to get the easiest bias installation, and the waist channel. I hand tacked my waste band channel to be sure I got it exactly where I wanted. I used stretchy knit for the bias, and it too turned out too long, even though I shortened it a little. I think the shoulder straps are going to stretch out as you topstitch, no matter what. I have it on my small bust girl and feel it is just too floppy. Going to try it on my medium large girl. Maybe I will be happier. It seems ok for dolly loungewear, but not my fav. You did a perfect job really.

      Thank you! I do think the design is a little lower cut than I usually prefer, but it does look perfect for super hot summer days.

    Do you use a finer thread when making doll clothes?

    • @UnderOrange
      @UnderOrange  3 года назад +1

      Nope, just ordinary machine sewing thread.

    What kind of sewing machine do you use

    • @UnderOrange
      @UnderOrange  4 года назад

      It's a Bernina 1008. Unfortunately I think they're a bit hard to find now, but they're really lovely machines.

    Is this pattern only for stretchy fabric or can I use 100 % cotton?

    • @UnderOrange
      @UnderOrange  4 года назад

      Cotton is just fine! I actually used stretchy because I didn't have anything else light enough, lol. You'd just want to cut the shoulder straps on the diagonal like pattern pieces indicate.
