I been cutting trees for 32 years hopefully I can spend the rest of my days doin a little blasting not expecting to get rich it’s more like exercise and keeping the bride off my ass!great vids mick thanks.

Weld on these all day every day - was welding one till 6 this evening. They rust worse inside the chassis sections than they do outside & you ain't blasting the insides.... I know it's just another job, I do them with the same attitude - temporary. I see lads getting them blasted & sending them off to be galvanised - another load of guff tbh, I get the galved ones in with huge globs of zinc everywhere inside the chassis, still rusting like mad from the inside out.
I had one - 1 - out of all the dozens I have worked on where the owner was savvy - we split the fcuker in half with a grinder & he then got the lot blasted inside & out. We welded it back together & soaked the entire thing in ATF & grease mixed after welding was finished - bill was sore & nobody much will go to them lengths - which means it will rust away happily regardless of how shiny the outside looks.

He mainly wanted to see if it need any more welding 👍 looks alot nicer on the mot inspectors eye when it's clean and painted

You do amazing work, I'll never understand why they don't move the rear axle back as far as possible considering everything in the bed is behind the axle taking wait off the steering axle makes it unsafe after loading. Besides it looks dumb with the tire against the cab with the overhang. Better yet just put a bigger bed on the truck. Mazda makes the B2000 and Ford Ranger. Much better design they already have something to copy 😂. The frame was better than most for sure.

He's owned this from new and he was over the moon with the result I said get the cab off and do a proper nice job but he said that not a easy job and he's looked over the front half and happy to leave that it's wired because the front half is in alot better shape than the back 🤔

@@Mobileblaster that actually makes sense because all the dirt and salt will collect in the rear first. Hope from now on he gets an underbody wash from the carwash more often if he wants to keep the truck alive.

Salt in Winter destroys these quickly....we get vehicles from areas bad for salting highways that look worse than 40 year old vehicles here....they don't last more than 5 - 6 years in those areas...

😊👌👍 me at the start of the video its not that bad this haha because I can see it was going to look new after. I've seen some chassis and before I've started ive said to the customer its probably not worth blasting doing myself out of work is better than seen disappointment and still having to pay for the blasting work 🫣

@Mobileblaster so true mate 👌. Alot of my jobs I get come from salt mines and so they look like shit 🤑 but once I blast them it's amazing what is hiding underneath 👌.
