- **NOTE** This is shipping for the foreseeable future in bottles, but without a sprayer. Sprayers are just nowhere to be found. I figure people would rather have this without a sprayer than not have it at all.
I've been hyping this up for the past few weeks and it's time to let it out into the world for you all to test and enjoy. Funny part is it almost got chucked in the trash till Bryce showed me how good it looked on the M3. But now it's live and we'll be running a pre-sale to start getting it out.

For anyone wondering about the costs:
$5218.80 For Landed Cost of 330 Gallon Tote from B&B Blending.
$4480 For Cost of Pumping Station I had Made by a follower for us.
I will assume the cost of that pump by applying $1 Cost per bottle. But that $1 also pays for Labor to bottle it.
Retail is $20 for 8oz Bottle: Cost of Dressing per 8oz is $0.99 + Bottle/Label/Labor cost is $4.32 = Raw Cost $6.31. That gives me $20 Retail -$6.31 Cost or $13.69 in profit per bottle. But I have to pay Scott (the guy that sourced/created the product). I am buying the product from him since he created it. We are splitting the profitability 50/50. That means I make $6.85 per 8oz. bottle.
Retail $30 - 5.33 - 24oz/Gallon $2.97 + $4.94 = Raw Cost $8.91. ($30 - $8.91)/2 = $10.55 profit on 24oz. bottle
Retail $40 - 4 - 32oz/Gallon $3.96 +$5.16 = Raw Cost $10.12. ($40-$10.12)/2 = $14.94 profit on a 32oz. bottle
Retail $80 - 1 Gallon = $15.82 + $7.35 = Raw Cost $24.17. ($80 - $24.17)/2= $27.91 profit on a Gallon.
Minimum USPS postage is $7.02 on a base sized priority package. My ask to the people supporting OG is to pay the raw shipping cost. I don't mark things up above retail, but I do provide a service like no other business in the garage space. So on this tire dressing I'm about doubling my money invested, but remember that I have taxes, rent, salaries, etc. to pay out of that profit number.
This is just like it would be if I bought something from Adam's or P&S and retailed it. I get a margin on the wholesale buying of the product. Those margins are usually in the 30-50% range. I'm asking for better margins here, since I'm doing all of the work. Imagine what a big company like Chemical Guys or Adam's makes on a product. They use a cheaper label, bottle, and have a substantially lower labor and raw material cost due to volume.
This is what makes obsessed garage awesome
@Reed Mohammed yea, have been watching on Flixzone} for years myself :D
Now THAT is transparency.
I gotta say, I really love the packaging and simplicity of the labeling! A product that works doesn't need flashy packaging! Understanded works with your brand!
I appreciate you not naming this a "ceramic" tire dressing
Can’t wait to try this stuff. Great job refining this
I’ve been seriously loving the new camera work. Looks even more superlegit now
VERY EXCITING!!!! Congrats on the new product venture, this looks LEGIT!!
Just bought two 24 oz bottles (one to keep in the original launch bottle) this stuff is legit. Easy application and looks amazing. Keep killing it Matt!
I bought the tire dressing about a month ago, love it. Thank you!
Ordered 25oz to give it a try if I love it gallons will be ordered. Thanks OG.
As always, thank you for the dedication!
Love the minimalist design, I've been looking for the best dressing as well looking to buy a bottle asap
Love the channel man, a couple of weeks ago I clay bared my Rally blue STI then followed up with Jescar then Collinite LOVE the combo man, just picked up some Bead maker and will use it this weekend. Unbelievable how everything worked!! Looks amazing 👍🏻👍🏻
2:45 Matt you are spot on. I’ve never heard of Stoners Tar Remover. I bought some and applied it and boy does it make a world of difference! My tires are actually jet black and not a dog poo brown. Definitely some unique insight other RUclipsrs aren’t talking about. Subbed. 👍 Prep is KEY.
It's definitely all in the prep, this is what makes the difference between getting meh results from getting amazing results. I spray H7 degreaser on my tires for maintenance washes and it always cleans them deeply. After that they get some megs hyper dressing. Wish I would have tried that stuff years ago, as it's now my favorite dressing to date. Cheap as hell, easy to use, versatile since you can tweak the look with dilution ratios, and it looks amazing after it dries. Makes my tires BLACK and uniform which is what I love. I am also not a fan of shiny, glazed looking tires.
I just want to thank you for what you do and for sticking to your plan no matter what the other companies throw your way and try to detour your mission in providing the best products to OG followers or minds are like. So I congratulate you for sticking to your guns and providing us with the best products on the market. So we detail are cars OG style. Yea!
Thanks man.
I'm not even 1/2 way through this video and had to stop it and comment. Love the up front and no bullshit deal here. Makes me even more inclined to watch your videos. Appreciate that!!! Too much coverup BS on social media these days.
Can’t wait to put it on my Mich. PS4s on my Golf R! Awesome job Matt! Absolutely love it. Love from Lakeland, FL. Wish I was closer to you to see OG HQ, or heck, even apply. Keep up the hard work!
The B-roll focus pulls of the tires really add to this video. Great job to the team and those responsible for the improved production value.
Cool collaboration between you and Scott. I’m excited to try it out!
Just looks like a brand new clean tire. Love the finished product, exactly the look I try to get with every wash.
Yep, same here. That's what this gives us.
@@ObsessedGaragegreat product, will definitely be ordering.... once I empty my CarPro. LOL
That is my cup of tea!!! Excellent!!!
Of course I just bought wheel cleaner and car soap yesterday! Back to the shop!
OG tire dressing $20 plus shipping for 8oz and no dilution. CarPro Perl $16.99 plus shipping(depending where you buy it) for 16.9oz. Can be diluted 1:1 for nearly 34oz. Perl looks great and last long. Perl for the win.
This is better. Don't be a cheap skate.
Thanks Matt, just ordered it
Ive been waiting on this to place my first order from you, I can’t wait to try it.
I love Perl but I will try this at some point! I'm loving Obsessed Garage drying aid! Great stuff! Mega slick!
Just got a gallon (hopefully)! Can't wait to try it!
After using now.
Drove 3 hours in light rain. Then sat in rain that night.
Morning, no dressing left.
Wishing it could hang around longer. Having silicone dioxide thought it might be a little more water proof. More for trailer queens. But will try more. My issue with Perl also. Used on inside doors. In rain it streaks door when opened. Always have to wipe down afterwards.
Tire dressing = so much better than shine. I’ve always used the optimum tire gel in the shop applied with an air gun and a brush but I may have to try your stuff out sir 😎
Looking good. Very nice finish
I like the 2nd angle canid shot. Getting fancy!
I am speechless man! I have been following you for about a month or so and have already ordered some products based directly on your recommendations here and in your Facebook group. I want to order a few more equipment pieces from OG site, but my wife is telling me to slow down on all the online car shopping stuff lol.
How upfront you are about what you find, test, and then recommend to your viewers is the way all 'influencers' should be doing it.
I just love that style, complete transparency. We are getting exactly the level of quality products you use in your own garage personally and it saves us time and money testing and going through all the other garbage out there. Of course I am sure there are some other great ones people might enjoy on the market as well, but how to you sold this new dressing, perfection at its finest!
Wow!! That looks great!!
I do like the look that this gives, for sure. I'm not a fan of super shiny, super slick looking tires either - doesn't work for me. I'll have to get my OG list together this evening and put in an order that includes this as well. Looking forward to trying it.
At the 8 oz price point, it’s double the cost of Perl. And you don’t dilute it either. I love Perl, but I love my money more! Can’t afford to try this new stuff.
The unfortunate problem of small businesses.
Matt has a good sense for a lot things, but his mark up and shipping costs for someone in Canada makes no financial sense. I would never pay twice the price of something just to support the habit. Practically, Perl is a better alternative and the local shop does not rip me off for it.
@@hotpepper684 as a Canadian you should understand at this point how import duties work.
Yeah...I'm not in the business of paying you to buy stuff from me. If you want it, I set a price that works for me, then you can chose to buy it or not. I take into consideration what is the lowest price that makes it worth the effort. Most companies are so worried about someone would pay or not pay rather than working for it. I choose to work for it by make videos, taking photos, traveling all over the place to learn more, then writing descriptions and showing people how to use it. That is worth something to the right people.
Hey I agree you should be compensated for your work. My excuse isn’t “I can’t afford it”. If someone cannot afford a $30 bottle, they need help and shouldn’t be on RUclips and should rather be focusing on getting a paying job. I just said it didn’t make financial sense from where I’m from. I came off rather harsh at the end, probably it was a bit too abrasive.
what you said in the whole video can't be said everyday from every mouth! you're the most honest person in the world thank you it's a good product.
It's funny when some still think there is more to the story. I literally just told everyone the whole deal from start to finish.
My order is in! The gallon is the way to buy all your products.
Just ordered a gallon of the OG dressing along with the Race Glaze Brush! Can't wait to use the brush to dress my tires and not get my fingers all dirty by using a microfiber sponge to wipe the tire lol
Tried this for the first time on both my truck with Nitro tires and on some Michelin Sport cup 2's. Did the proper prep on the tires. Really like the results on the Sport Cup 2's, not so much on the Nitro's. At first I thought I put too much on the first tire. I adjusted for the rest of the tires but the result was pretty much the same. The tires are all way too shiny. Not sure if the Nitro's just didn't absorb the dressing or what the problems was. I put as little on as I could to get proper coverage. Will try it again. If the results are the same I guess back to Pearl which worked well on the truck tires.
Definiely more of a MATT(e) look after wiping. Looks good.
Ordered a 32 oz bottle Can't-Wait to try it out
Re evenness, one thing I'd like to try is spraying Perl on with a mini HVLP gun. I tried applying Optimum TPC this way (I actually did it with the tyre off the wheel) - it looked amazing, until I vigorously flexed the tyre (as you do), at which point it cracked and turned white. Perl won't suffer from the cracking problem, of course. I'm in Australia, but may also try the O.G dressing at some stage.
I have tried spraying Perl on with a few different standard misting sprayers - it didn't work well at all - it went on too thick. The HVLP should be able to achieve a very light even misting.
Matt: "..some local sign shop down the street. But the product is good."
Sign shop: ..am I a joke to you
These tires do look good. However, after seeing the price and the close up pans of the tires, I can't see it justifiable. Especially for cost and dilution of Car pro Pearl which seems to do the exact same. I was personally seeing inconsistencies in uniformity in this video during those pans of the tires after wiping off. Which truthfully I don't see an issue with Pearl but to each their own.
You are seeing the inconsistency in the tire, not the dressing.
Yeah it's the tire itself not the product.
@@ObsessedGarage Dude this stuff is seriously awesome. Applied to 3 cars in the last week, agreed if you prep the tire correctly, the consistency and look is insane! (What other users are noticing is probably the tire’s inconsistency)
I forgot I had the curved/ball detail factory brush for the first two tires and used the straight handled brush which was an ok experience, but for the last car I used that DF brush you have featured and was sad I didn’t know about these product sooner. Truly next level experience!
Ordering some this week. Thanks Matt, now get me something for glass. I am still fighting the war on glass and I’m still losing.
Thanks, just ordered 10 gallons!
I love the fact that you're not just making a product to make a product. Seems like so many people just slap their name on something some chemist created and there's nothing to differentiate it from other options in the market or worse yet it's just a rebranded product. Creating a product because nothing else lives up to your (incredibly obsessed) standards is badass.
In fairness, I didn't create this. My friend Scott found it, and it was good enough to warrant me using it. Since it doesn't exist, we brought it to the market.
Packaging actually looks perfect
Why was I thinking this was just rebottled Hyper Dressing? Excited to try it!
Great video! Blue is my Fav color :)
Placed an order literally right before this went live. Guess I’m placing another. Haha.
Looks amazing. It must be amazing if you followed through with the bottling debauchery 😂😂
Seeing what this does to tires, I'm willing to bet this will do great things to rubber floor mats/liners if they are cleaned and prepped the right way.
I think it would make it very slick.
I like the clear, see-thru bottles better than the solid colors
Sold out in 5...4...3...2...1 😉
Order in, 24oz for Milton GA, Matty let’s go!
Can't wait for my next order here 😩
Nice can’t wait to try it!
Almost looks like the brand I get from my local chemical guy in niceville fl , well fort Walton beach Florida c polishing system inc .. it’s some pretty good stuff . I’ll try this out .
I’ve never found any inconsistencies with Perl.
He means when you brush it on it goes on uneven, I know what they mean it leaves spotty droplets and steaks of white behind , It doesn’t go on smooth lets say like a nice paint , the performance is good and I wipe it to make it even so it really doesn’t matter that much , with that being said it kind of bothers me too with the unevenness it takes away from my tire dressing experience and that’s what he is out to find the best overall experience while detailing/ washing your car , I ordered a bottle but will continue to use pearl in the meantime 😃
Antimatter I’ve never had this problem. I just brush it on properly and then by the next morning it’s even. I wonder if you guys are using too much or not properly brushing it into the tire
I beg to differ, I've used it a handful of times on trim and it lasts less than a week. The initial finish is really nice but the longetivty, or lack of, has put me off for life.
I been holding off for many years(10 years lol) on using tire dressing. Never found a product I like. I'm excited to try this tire dressing. Thanks for your hard work Matt. This is my first order from your site and I hope it won't be my last.
I'm in! Order placed!
Can't believe Matt is selling us some super ultra ceramic infused tire dressing.
Curious to try this, so far the best smelling stuff i came across is the Chemical Guys Clay Luber which reminds me of my wild years in Cancun Mexico in spring break 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳
Matt, I ordered a Gallon. Let's see if it has what it takes to take up a spot on my mobile rig.
Ordered, can’t wait to see how this compares to Perl/Mud
Interested to see this feedback.
Had a chance to compare it yet?
AMMO Mud has been my all time favorite tire dressing but I am beyond excited to give this stuff a try! Keep chasing, Matt!
Really cool you have some private label products. I've used carpro perl a few times..I personally liked it on interior panels etc...a lil more than on tires. If this stuff is better than I gotta see it in person. Either way im all for OG labeled products.
I heard you mentioned mineral spirits to clean/prep the tire. Can that be used as an alternative to isopropyl alcohol? Those things are harder to come by, but I've still got cans and cans of mineral spirits from all the diy projects around the house
Curious if this is like PERL/303 in that you need to shake before spraying, is it shaken before decanting into the bottles you're selling?
I'm definitely going to buy this. I been using a product from walmart and it doesnt last more than 3 days.
Thanks Matt! I just got a botttle of Perl😕 Guess I'll try this when I run out. Congrats on your success.
Don't be disappointed Perl is great too, I'm a big fan of perl for a few years now
@@kai_291 Ive used it once and like so far. Matt seems to be right most of the time😁. Well, all the time. I gust do what he says when I have the money.
@@robertsmithUH60driver I use it 1:1 all the time and have no issues yet, maybe I'm not looking close enough
@Matt
I’m just putting this out there I think we have come to a point of market saturation with tire dressing. I have used dozens of tire dressings and have tested them all to the point of diminishing returns. However I feel that what the market needs which has not been developed yet. SiO2 ceramic base Nano tire dressing that is translucent meaning completely clear. A tire dressing that you place on the rubber and it completely evaporates into the rubber leaving a 100% natural rubber look. I would love to see a tire dressing that once you have clean the rubber you place the dressing on it gives you UV protection and dirt protection but it completely evaporates it leaves nothing behind and there’s nothing to wipe. Whoever can develop a translucent tire dressing to give you that ultimate natural Matt rubber finish I guarantee you it’s going to make a ton of money because it’s going to be a new product that has not been developed anywhere on the market.
I find that when I'm not too aggressive on the wipe, I leave skid marks behind.
I'm curious if you tried CarPro ReTyre as a cleaning agent for the tires before applying your dressing?
Looks like some good stuff. Might have to try it in my next order.
Side note, I love the competition wheels, but dislike their offsets. Have you thought about/are you running spacers, Matt? I remember you took some off for the Titan 7 wheels but don't know if they were reinstalled.
I do have spacer on.
When doing every other week wash of tires. With brake buster. Will that strip the dressing. Will need to reapply dressing ?
I won't strip it, but I would reapply after every wash.
Matt you're getting too good man , I see you one day being like Amazon, but selling only the best of everything, along with the reviews. Expand brother expand, and don't let them buy you out.
I'm going to keep chasing.
@obsessedgarage I'm going to buy this and compare it to what I have on the shelf Gyeon tire :) I have a feeling yours will be better
blunt honesty... rare trait that sucks me into this channel everyday
We definitely need labels like this. We all have bare bottles and would prefer to ditch the sharpie labeling method.
Order placed!
Purchased! Hopefully some day we can get those shipping costs down. FYI there's some typos on the dressing page, not sure if you're obsessed on that side as well.
Fixed
Is the shine a matt black and not a shiny black.
I was going to order some stoners, but first il go with mineral spirits. Thanks for the tip...
Ordered.
Time to get the card
have you tested on the engine bay to use instead of hyper dressing?
I haven't, but I suspect Hyper Dressing is better for that application.
Dang it I was really hoping you were brewing this stuff in your bathtub at home 😂
Interesting! I'm sad I just bought some dressing. Can't wait to get thru it to test this stuff.
So how important is it to spray it on a brush? Would it just has a good to treat like paint and a brush?
You could put it on with a foam block too.
@@ObsessedGarage true that....
At one point I thought Matt had a small rock chip on the M3... then I realized it was just dust on my screen... damn
I would love to be a meticulous product tester for OG
The REAL question Matt is what percentage of Si02 is in the dressing, BRO.
Product looks great and the finish it leaves is really nice.
Ha, ha... Insert: "My SiO2 is more than your SiO2."
Can you do two coats and still get that matte finish?
No, it will get shiny.
Like the label clean and straight to the point. No, really glossy looking car or wheel on the label for no reason.
Finally the wait is over .... put my 24oz order in!
So this stuff has Si02 for water/dirt repellent?
Ha, ha... No, it just makes it darker.
When will the karcher pressure washers be back in stock?
It's going to be a while. We have 35 due this week, but they are having supply chain issue.
I couldn’t order fast enough. I hope it’s good Matt. But what you say is good usually is. So 1 gallon it is. 😀
Do you throw away the microfiber towel after use or wash it for reuse?
Always wash. Microfiber lasts a long time.
Thanks
