Absolutely love and admire all of the work and efforts that Senator Whitehouse has done, and continues to do to bring awareness to the different issues regarding pollution caused by the major industries, specifically the fossil fuel industry. We need to collect a tax on every polluting product like plastics so that companies will be more motivated to find sustainable alternatives.

For some reason whenever the word plastics is said, I think of "The Graduate". And that word Mr. McGuire said to Benjamin. Now it's become a scourge of our planet instead of a boon!!

I can rarely find preserved food in glass. Like pickled beets. I am glad to hear this info. Look forward to hearing more. Last year, I made a visit to my 50th US state. Rhode Island. I visited Providence. Natural beauty. Man-made destruction growing everywhere. I eat locally wherever I go. Thanks for your work on Scotus ethics and the environment. I try to do my part. If I’m informed, I do better. Thanks, Senator WH , for your dedication.

We've totally stopped recycling plastic here in Southern California. WHY??????????????????

I believe Newsom has stopped many hazardous materials from entering Ca, which all other states should follow. There must be a reason why recycling plastic has stopped in Ca, if that’s in fact true. Gov Newsom has the right idea to keep his state safe from many toxic materials from entering his state though, which I congratulate him on.

Close the loop. Companies producing products of heavy plastics usage must then also not only be the origin of use but also the recipient of plastic product at life's end. Create the problem + fix the problem. Not work in a vacuum. Pretty much my view when any corporations behave in one sided procedures for profit with risks to the society/environment.

I'd vote Whitehouse for President any day.
why on Earth are the companies responsible for microplastics getting off with a slap on the wrist? They make billions of dollars off of their inventions and too often those untested inventions destroy. I question who has to make the sacrifice for innovation when it's *never* the wealthy owners and *always* the vulnerable and innocent.

Let's just get rid of the EPA and all regulations and vote republican. We're in so many messes with regulations and corporate America can't afford to be concerned about our health. I've been feed up for over 50 years, we need to enforce the laws we have and sue for the cleanup
