Ninth Sister has extraordinarily empathic abilities to basically read minds. That’s why she was going Ultra Instinct on you during her boss fight.
Apparently, the way to counter it is to keep attacking her. She won't do the force pull, and instead, it will hit you with an unblockable you can dodge, then counterattack

It's sort of kind of like that boss fight from God of war Ragnarok where the guy constantly dodges your attacks until you get lucky and hit him no spoilers for anyone who hasn't played it or beat the game

(For a new light saber color nstead of Purple I wonder if they have a Magenta or some other color that's slightly tinged with red to represent and show how Cal is letting The Dark Side creep up on him.)
I'm pretty sure they had magenta in the first game though I'm hoping they do what force unleashed 2 did where you can add different colors for the dual wield like one red and the other blue or one magenta and the other yellow
the game has all the colours from the first game (including magenta) with the new added colour of white, which looks absolutely orgasmic might i add

For the Grey Jedi lore I say Afro with either the Orange Lightsaber or White Lightsaber colour. Personally me I say Orange as Cal has Sith technique as well as the when it comes to the meaning of the orange lightsabers in legends wise they were wielded by Grey Jedi.

What mace did was the wrong way which is why Anakin is so conflicted because he no longer sees a difference between the council and Palpatine (OCS their is) but to the regular citizens and Anakin the Jedi were unfeeling corrupt warriors seemingly using their powers at the beck and call of the privelaged senators.

Personally I'd go Orange due to it being the least sought after. Gives you an underdog story. Also Darth Revan.

Afro got a pretty narrow idea of what a Jedi is if he thinks Cal killing Ninth Sister made him "grey." Considering Cal knows what the Inquisitors go through under Vader he saw it as a mercy kill. He knew she was too far gone, but he didn't blame her for it and knew the only way out of her tortured existence was death. Grim, but mercy killings like that are something Jedi are 1000% capable of.

The book explains a lot, especially why he didn't hesitate to kill the 9th sister. Hesitation against an inquisitor is what lead to greez losing his arm
The thing that gets me is at 5:15 when cal jumps on the ship and yanks the wheel mirrors the way trilla was fighting when you first get on the mantis in fallen order.

My idea for Cal’s lightsaber color goes as follows. At the beginning of fallen order it should be blue since he’s using Jaro Tapals lightsaber. The one he makes with the Kyber cystal on Illum is blue, but it cracks in his hands due to his subtle dark side influence ( I assume as such since force slow is a predominantly Sith ability). Since the crystal was cracked but not destroyed, it suffered minor bleeding which changes the color to orange. I feel like at some point during this game once I feel Cal has had a moment of growth I will change them to white, showing he’s purified the crystal he once partially corrupted. This is headcannon though I’m pretty sure Respawn stated at some point his cannon saber color is blue.
Heh, funny youd think he purified it. Get to the end of the game and you'll find out why it would basically be red. Let's just say him having a red lightsaber in NG+ seems a little more canon.

White the best saber color IMO. Sounds the best, looks the best with any saber parts/colors and also just fits perfectly with the Jedi cal is becoming. I had the same reaction of saying that cal is a grey Jedi when he killed the ninth sister like that! It was so cold! Then I immediately changed my blade to white

I always like the green saber color, orange or yellow could be good also. Noice thus far, keep up the awesome content! 😁Even though they made Gray Jedi non-canon now, (which was my favorite type of Jedi as it is way more of a balance - they aren't completely one or the other side of the force), I really like Cal pretty much on that level between light and dark. As long as he can maintain the balance.
I wonder what you will think by the end of the game. Let me know if you have beaten it because I definitely want to see what somewhat else thinks of him by the end of the game.

But, Cal struggles major and I like the experience, most likely the closest we will get to a true grey jedi in new canon. Sorry I don't say more about it in depth, but I don't wanna ruin anyone else's experience. Gonna go through again more slowly in New Journey Plus, experience the side stuff I missed when just focusing on main story stuff. Have a good one. 😁

@@demonintellect9834 While making the tribute on my channel to Cal, thoughts were behind the end scenes was - He broke after order 66. he found fellow survivors, they grew and eventually split for different reasons. I think Cal will try to find a balance, he has grown - there is still more to learn. He has more experience now in ways of fighting, but as Cere says he was raised by the Jedi as a young soldier, and Cal doesn't seem not know what else he'd do in his life. He has more willpower than most who walk the line of the force, but his balance is a thin line regardless of his increased growth and maturity. Sorry for this long reply, yes, I think if anyone is capable of it, he would. Though he needs more than fighting to stay in balance.
